Forum Ban Appeal Process

What's the process to appeal forum bans? We have an entire forum dedicated to chat bans but how does one appeal a forum ban? I tried to reach out to a UM in chat, because I wasn't banned from any of them despite the topic of my ban pertaining to chats, and was told it was "submitted" to be reviewed...only to be told that if i hadn't been unbanned clearly it was denied. You can't create an alt account because it gets you banned for evasion and then extended.

This is a legitimate question. The ban I just served was completely bogus. Nothing about the code that I ran was exploitive. I specifically pulled out the parts that allow you to flood the chat without getting hit with the autokick.

I was trying to have an adult discussion. There’s no need for you to come in and insult me. I insulted no one and never said he was dumb.
As for the tired old “ass kissing” trope, please show me one post that shows that to be true. I have never kissed ass here and earned all my positions through hard work and trust. Let’s keep the discussion on topic.

Good point lol But I’ll always hold out hope that there are decent, mature people here. As naive as that is. 🤷🏻‍♂️

you asked a question. that more than likely would invoke a fight. knowing it would do that and he didnt take your bait. you also inferred that he should be banned for committing an offense before he committed it.

Since you’re bent on derailing this thread I’ll do it for one more post. The above quote is typical you: taking something someone said, assuming you know the intent, extrapolating what “more than likely” will be the result, and assuming you know what is in someone’s mind. In this particular case you couldn’t be more wrong. I simply commented what the OP themselves posted and pointed out that’s probably why they got banned. I wasn’t looking for a fight nor was I looking to bait anyone. That’s all.
I know you want the last word, so have at it ✌🏻

legitimately, by not giving real answers or taking a stance with anything. he's the flaccid admin

The problem is and always has been we have those in authority that uses their power to silence their critics.
When you are a mod or admin your expected to defend other mods and admins.
There is really no way to appeal a forum ban unless we can turn one UM against another.

half the time owner doesnt even know what happened. so my advice to those reading this poorly given advice: if your going to email the admin... start your complaint at the beginning in one long email so they understand everything.



also id like to mention it took me going to cm to ask why a person had been banned for 15 years. because not one UM was going to lift a cm ban. so are UMs purposefully putting the blame on cm knowing no one can talk to him ?

maybe its time to start labeling bans. that way users know what room to go to to chat about their ban?
