So, as I was saying before my original thread got derailed and wrongly moved, proving the point I was trying to make.

I don't think it's a good idea for forum mods/admins to be able to move,delete, close threads that they start or that they are the topic of or involved in. And especially able to edit posts or dms at will with absolutely no time limit on when they can be edited. It is a huge conflict of interest. When any kind of conversation or discussion can be endlessly manipulated. This is even more egregious as far as forum dms go. More so when the forum mods are also room admins. These are staff that users and fellow staff are told to message and come to with any issues. And those messages can be edited or outright deleted to change the narrative of the conversation. How is any user supposed to be able to trust and feel safe having any interaction with someone that has the ability to do all this.

It completely shuts down any meaningful discussions or the ability to come to any proper resolutions at times.

I would go so far as to say the forum staff should be completely different to any staff in the rooms to easily avoid this kind of conflict of interest. I apologize to any forum mods that do the right thing and treat their positions with the respect it deserves. It's a shame bad apples can ruin the experience for everyone.

due to the nature of your post, your post is going to have to be closed down and it is suggested you use the contact us link at the bottom of the screen to reach chatmaster, who will most definitely read your message. Also please do not expect common sense to be used at any time on this website as it implies this website as a whole is not a giant piece of **** for predators of all sorts to lurk and navigate on, even though Gen Chat is the least of said rooms. ( Barely )

One also has to wonder, when MyFreeCams is advertised in a 13+ room, or any room on the site, why one should expect any kind of common sense to be used by anyone who is paid to run this site.

While your frustrations are duly noted please remember that this website is not run by someone who operates with common sense.

What Rapi is commenting on is something I have been talking about for quite some time.
The UMs should not be able to edit , move and close topics that concern them. There has been so many times, be it a drunken reply or erasing comments that one UM is doing that just to put himself in a better light.
There is no accountability for UMs, We have recent proof of one UM openly discussing mod business in open forums. Back in the day if Chatmaster saw that he would remove all offending parties. Now we have a UM who gaslights and openly covers his own arse and the arses of friends and mods, until he turns on them.

there was a time that there not only was active oversight, but also the mods would use common sense and ask other mods to deal with certain threads or reports. taking options away hinders the whole forum, even though not the whole forum sees it. cm has a history of willy nilly hirings and sloth like speed at removing. not every bad apple or fired mod returning to gain mod status again can be stopped there will be some that sneak through but more oversight/time spent actually in forums would go a long way in weeding most out.

I get it, and I agree with you and Rapione,

here is the thing.....

Let's look for an example at our elected government here in the USA ( For me )

Now let's have a debate on why our elected officials should not be earning any more than the average income families in America, Let's say everyone in the debate agreed, and just for shits and giggles, everyone in the debate was in the same state, and one person wrote a letter to ones state elected Gov and Senator. Stating their position and would that Gov or Senator support them in their efforts to gather enough signatures to have the issue,,, **** of I know, be brought forward to be voted on to become a law, or whatever the fucking process is to have it become a law.

And all of us do it, we are pumped, we debated, it all made sense, we said ****, this is such a great idea, and our Gov and our Senator, who are our representatives; surely they will see what we are thinking is sound and will agree with us. And there is a return address, email and phone number on there for our representative of our little group to be able to be contacted once our elected official has had the chance to hear us. And we send it with one of those signature requests for acceptance so we know someone got it and who got it.

and we wait for a reply, we wait and we wait and wait, we knew we would have to wait at least a week cause ya know mail, and our elected officials are busy, time goes by. and we all go wtf.?

our rep makes calls to find out if our message was received, yup turns out it was, and it turns out our elected officials' secretary has read our message. and we should get a follow-up reply shortly. So now we are excited again.

An guess what! WE GET A REPLY, HOLY **** WE GOT A FUCKING REPLY CANT WAIT TO READ IT THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT WE WERE HEARD.

An guess what the reply is,

A legit generic response letter, by an intern that reads something like

Dear ....

I thank you for your time in contacting my office in regard to the matter you have brought forth I am so honored you took the time to reach out to my office to speak with me. Thank you for your interest in the current matters of our great state and God Bless.

or maybe you get a real rejection letter, at least that means your message was read and it was just disagreed with.

The point is, people can agree on an issue and put a lot of thought into it, but the people that are in charge, only give a **** if it is beneficial to them and it is very rarely they give two shits about who they work for let alone who voted them in.

Now if this was a volunteer organization for the homeless, totally different, everyone in those kinds of civil servant volunteer jobs that are directly for the poor, everyone listens that is in charge at least the ones I have run into. There are some bad ones out there. As with anything.

But when we start asking people, be it elected officials or anyone in a position of any kind of bullshit power, to listen to us when we say they deserve less power. Very rare that someone would agree to that, let alone to an elected official agreeing that they get paid too much.


ChatMaster or whoever runs this site has zero incentive to give a **** about anything on this site let alone anyones complaint, the only thing that I can fathom that does worry CM or the Owner(s) is actual legal consequences regarding exposing and abuse of children; and I imagine that is just a freckle on the ass of said worry.


I post comments from time to time, did so a few ago, I post, just to get it off my brain, not with the actual hope that CM or anyone who has anything to do with this site will give two flying fucks and actually implement anything. But in my last post, I did try to create an incentive for added features to be on VIP. They are at least ideas that can bring in some kind of $ maybe not a lot but there ya go, and be helpful to have as a user on the site. When one creates an idea that benefits both parties, the person who came up with the idea and the person the idea is being presented too, that is cooking right there. A Win Win. But I still doubt anything will come of it because this site is what it is.

I agree . I started a thread " Mind Boggled " over just for that purpose but , referring to " screen shots " from ******** to get how they only post what is needed to get their own message across & guess what ? Its gone . I wonder why that is ? and come to think of all my threads are gone ?

I believe each mod Edmonton should be responsible for their own subthread. Meaning sports Edmonton this with the Sports thread on here.

But everything else I’m about to say essentially it’s me agreeing with you on everything else 100%

If a UM has a thread about themselves, they should be allowed to respond but nothing else so they shouldn’t it allowed to edit or move it. Because it might seem like they are hiding somthing. No hiding of secrets.

@Samwise What in the hell is going on with your room? I guess the captain stays with the boat till it is completely submerged.
Everyone knows you get off having a sense of power but this is an old beaten down chat site. One of the reason it is not thriving is because of you.
