So, as I was saying before my original thread got derailed and wrongly moved, proving the point I was trying to make.

I don't think it's a good idea for forum mods/admins to be able to move,delete, close threads that they start or that they are the topic of or involved in. And especially able to edit posts or dms at will with absolutely no time limit on when they can be edited. It is a huge conflict of interest. When any kind of conversation or discussion can be endlessly manipulated. This is even more egregious as far as forum dms go. More so when the forum mods are also room admins. These are staff that users and fellow staff are told to message and come to with any issues. And those messages can be edited or outright deleted to change the narrative of the conversation. How is any user supposed to be able to trust and feel safe having any interaction with someone that has the ability to do all this.

It completely shuts down any meaningful discussions or the ability to come to any proper resolutions at times.

I would go so far as to say the forum staff should be completely different to any staff in the rooms to easily avoid this kind of conflict of interest. I apologize to any forum mods that do the right thing and treat their positions with the respect it deserves. It's a shame bad apples can ruin the experience for everyone.

yeah you've made it very obvious you like having an edit button. in this very thread you edited my post.

As a user I personally like an edit function as it helps fix mistakes, I have helped users here get that feature - It is a good tool for those with disabilities.

Except alcoholism is not considered a disability. Sometimes you get rid or links, sometimes naughty words, mostly your edit pencil is to fit your narrative and to cover your arse when you have erred.

going back and editing your own posts or dms quite some time later completely changing what you've said or deleting them after somebody has already responded is vastly different than helping someone with a disability

I agree . I started a thread " Mind Boggled " over just for that purpose but , referring to " screen shots " from ******** to get how they only post what is needed to get their own message across & guess what ? Its gone . I wonder why that is ? and come to think of all my threads are gone ?

What crock of crap is this? You're not making edits because "oh phooey, I misspelled a word" you're editing posts to try and change the narrative and I have seen you do it on multiple occasions.

Why are you bringing up disabilities to justify your actions? It reminds me of when you hired Ryrytime as a mod just because he's in a wheelchair.

He's literally added to his posts days later if the locked thread is linked in anoghdf thread. Its obvious he doesn't want to give @Chatmaster any reason to pull him aside.
