My username is 30m and I keep getting kicked for "Spamming the report button." and I don't think its right to be kicked over legit reports, wanting to help shouldn't be a bad thing that is punishable.

Like I explained to you in PMs, it's not necessary to report the same thing more than once, even if the user posts it repeatedly. By reporting the same thing several times, all you accomplish is to clog up the report system. And when you're warned by a mod to stop doing it, it's probably not the best decision to keep doing the same thing - that's what led to your kick, NOT the fact that you were making legit reports. We appreciate the help, but please have a little patience.

(And just a note here - you were only kicked once, you don't "keep getting kicked")

I would of muted you then kicked you for spam reporting 🙂 that is exactly what Oz1 said, so he is hereby finally admitting that as a mod he is kicking people for reporting.. Wow, is that what a mod is suppose to do? Where in the rules does it say to mute or kick any user or guest for reporting something to a mod? No wonder he was fired before even though he wants to deny it but previously posted in forums that he was and given no such thank you or any kind of gratitude.. Now do you see why I cheerfully handed in my moderator shield and got banned on purpose.

Thanks Sandman. Today was the first time i've been warned, and its kinda a deterant.

Well, that's not entirely true. I've warned you before on the other guest account you use (GaysOnly), but I agree that you probably should have been muted first, then kicked if you continued. The kick was initiated by a new(ish) mod, which I'm sure Chopper will address.

Well if thats the case and his other accounts are 'gaysonly' and whatever else he uses, he talks to minors and when they say they're 18, he says and I quote "you're too young." I have kicked him multiple times in one day for him to evade them.

I've had ******** in teen who r 18 plus who have also complained about OZ, cause he removed em for reporting the bots in their dms and they got kicked for abusing the report button. Sorry to say this but I agree with the people who don't agree with what he said. He is a JOKE!!!

This right here is the correct answer. We deal with people that love to abuse the reporting system constantly. When this happens in BC, I give a warning explaining and then a mute if they keep doing it. Then a kick if they won't stop after a mute.

Please by all means report bots and such. We will remove them when you do. But sitting there abusing the feature with reporting the same thing over and over isn't helping.

Here is a direct quote from Administrator "Those who abuse our reporting system will be subject to a kick or ban themselves. Furthermore, depending on the report, it may be referred to law enforcement."

That is what you would call a lazy moderator. The report button is there for a reason. All they accomplish is more work for you thats why you are being lazy and telling/kicking people for creating more work for you.

Personally if they report the same bot if its a spamming one in the main several times. I just delete it. I mean it helps me as I delete the comment anyway and that requires a scroll up. Only way I personally call it abuse of the report button is reporting mod comments/profiles etc knowing that another mod or the admin is needed to remove it. And when this happens they get a pm and a 5 min mute for abuse of reporting system.

GaysOnly (and whatever other names used) is a frequent reporter in the chat, and always reports underage. From what I've seen when I've been online, the reports are always genuine, compared to a lot of reports we get that are either just a profile (which obvs tells us nothing) or something equally inconsequential.

That said, I do agree with Sandman that you could do much of this without saying things like "18 is too old" to get them to admit to being underage, and, as I pointed out once in the past and SERIOUSLY warned against, taking their SC username AFTER finding out they are underage. No matter how many times you say it's "to block them in case they add me", I will be actioning that in future if I see that you do it again.

It's very much a double-edged sword. I/we appreciate the help, but it needs to be above board.

Also a straight-up kick for 'reporting too much'? I think we can chalk that up as a rookie mistake by a new Mod, which I'm sure won't happen again.
