Gay chat room dangerous to children

Ive been observing the gay chat room this past week and have noticed that whenever mods aren't around, the majority of people are either predators or children. I understand that the mods aren't always online to ban them, but there should be measures put in place so that minors don't get in. I'm not sure if this is possible but putting a filter and blocking words that relate to minors (underage numbers 0-17, variations of words, boy) could stop predators from preying on children. Ive also noticed that bans arent permanent. When a minor or predator gets banned, it should be an IP ban so that they cant come back.

Whether it's #1 Chat Avenue or any other Chat Room Site, there are risks.

#1 Chat Avenue at least takes great care in sourcing Volunteer Chat Moderators for each of their Chat Rooms.

There is no other site comparable to #1 Chat Avenue and its commitment to ensuring User Safety, at least, by the process happening here to ensure safety. Each room has a dedicated Volunteer Chat Administrator or two.

RE the Gay Chat Rooms, the position is currently filled by someone who is resolute at distinguishing appropriate courses of actions on any matter that passes them.

The Gay Chat Rooms is in good hands, and has everything at its disposal to ensure User Safety. No one can control everything.
 
Certain numbers and words used to be blocked by the filter and people worked round them anyway. With all due respect, do you really think that blocking users from saying certain things will stop paedophiles preying on children?

The filter used to be unrealistically strong, and it stopped users having normal conversations. I also found it actually made it harder to moderate the room because, due to all the ****s you can't even see what it is they're saying. Now the filter has gone, it means finding proof of what they're up to is so much easier.

As for bans, I suggest you heed @Baby Universal 's advice and speak to Chatmaster or Chopper.

Maybe solutions should be met at the home off the kids that visit chat sites such a Gay Chat rooms. Parents and guardians have a responsibility more so than volunteers that a dedicated to keeping chatrooms as safe as humanly possible. Its a problem that i imagine is not unique to Chat Avenue, but from feedback,we are the most effective at doing the job. Im sure other room mods and Admins, face similar problems, but it's unfortunate that Gay chat mods and admin seems to get the most abuse. I understand that your post is not abusive, but hopefully you understand that we do our best. Chat Avenue mods and ROOM Admins are the best and most visible on the chat site scene.

Unless we have some sophisticated age verification process for entering chat, we can't prevent it any more than porn sites can prevent underage kids from viewing content there.

We can't prevent pedos from entering chat either. That should be a matter for the authorities - to take action when they're aware of them, and to prevent access to the internet by pedos.

Until the owners of CA decide to spend a fortune on age verification which frankly I don't think a free site should, we'll keep kicking them out and Chopper will keep banning them. In the meantime, perhaps you'd like to apply to join us? Info here
