Chat Avenue is an inclusive community and nobody should have to see hate speech on here or in the chat rooms.

As well as direct hate speech, the trolls that post it often do so in the guise of a debate or a discussion on a real issue through which they then pedal their hate speech.

If you see any kind of hate speech on forums, please report it using the reporting system. This will send a notification to the forums staff (Universal Moderators/UMs) and then they can take appropriate action.

To report a post, click/tap the word "report" shown on the post. You then get a window to give a report reason - include a concise explanation as to why the post is offensive - then hit the blue report button.



You can also put these trolls on ignore so you don't see their vitriol. To do this, click/tap on their account name then hit "Ignore".



These people often lead very sad lives and they thrive on reactions to get through their day. Not engaging with them by allowing the threads they create to die without a response is the best way to deal with them: don't feed the trolls and they'll die of starvation.
