GC Admin not protecting kids

So I quit as moderator of Gen Chat today. The scenario:

A VIP user sending nudes (I have SS, 13 pages long) to a minor, whose age is clearly in the profile and he was not only sending the nudes but discussing the fact we monitor PMs and how to get around it. One mod muted, I kicked for 2 hrs, labeled as a pedo and requested a ban. I was told by Gen Chat admin to reverse his action to a 5 min kick. Why? because we could not "assume" he knew the age of the minor. Are you freaking kidding me? Why bother with ages in a profile then?

This is how we say we protect minors and then give a pass to a chatter sending nudes to a minor? I can't be a part of that. So yeah, consider this a complaint against the admin. No need to tag CM as I have a suspicion if this guy wasn't a VIP, it would have been different.

I was banned from a chat room by the owners for "spamming news wall comments." I was a VIP in the chat room, so I assume the chat master will have no problem banning this person.

If you send a private message to @Chatmaster with the following information:

• Room the incident occurred in
• Screenshots/proof
• Username(s)

Im 95% sure that he will issue the ban, and there's nothing the room admin could do about it.

Sometimes, you must refuse unethical orders, even if it means being fired for doing what's right. In this situation, I would have stood by the kick and its duration.

And just a note, if you can't "assume" a chatter read the age on a profile, you also can't assume they read the rules for chat from the link that they agreed to when entering. But we hold them to it.

Just because an age is listed on the profile does not mean that the man saw the age. I asked you to reverse the kick to a 5 minute one and to issue the man a warning to not send inappropriate anything’s to minors moving forward. Instead you’re acting as if I told you to ignore and sweep, which I definitely didn’t do. Even another longtime mod confirmed that 90% of people don’t read profiles and that you’ve taken this one well out of proportion.

And just a note, if you can't "assume" a chatter read the age on a profile, you also can't assume they read the rules for chat from the link that they agreed to when entering. But we hold them to it.

On the contrary, if anything we “assume” no one has read a single rule, which is why the warning feature exists and why there are guidelines on how to action.

Admin complaints go directly to @Chatmaster in his DMs, though.
