Not sure if yall are aware, or most outside of General Chat users are aware,

There’s a large epidemic of predators on the website, not with new accounts, but some longer than 2 yrs on the site,

May have been one of the most disturbing rabbit holes I went down as I seen accounts 13-14-15 years of age have public friend lists with multiple men over 40.

I went on to see how bad it was and in less than a few hours had 3 men over 40 try to talk sexually to what they believed was a 15 year old girl.

None of the 3 accounts have been banned and if this is what is appropriate. Law enforcement should be clued in as the idea and things allowing on that specific room is horrendous.

Also keep in mind mods do not ban so if an admin is not present there will be no ban. Also vips are handled by @Chatmaster so that process can take a little longer.

While I understand this theory and yes parents are responsible for their own children - would it cause you to think this person is up to no good with the name sports coach - 60 year old male - with 20+ friends who are aged between 13 - 15? you then look at the friends lists and lo and behold its another 60 year old male with numerous same age related minors on their friends list? and you go down a rabbit hole? You would not think this is a huge red flag that they do not have true intentions of not preying on younger? This is rampant on this site and if reported all you get is I cant ban on friends lists or I cant remove on friends lists? This is what really concerns me in the rooms although I do not engage in the rooms anymore.

I can see your point and it’s valid. I believe it makes a tough line to walk as in owners and admin rule setting. As in like acting in suspicions or only on hard proof. I understand your input and it’s sadly a possible negative outcome like you’ve laid out here.

I definitely appreciate your concern, and please don’t hesitate to report any rule breaking conversations, posts, or profiles via the system so that a staff member can handle the issue/chatter as soon as one comes available.

If you happen to have the names of the 3 accounts you’re referencing, I’d be happy to take a look at them and any additional proof you may have regarding the rule breaks. Please do not post the usernames in this thread and DM them to me instead by clicking here.

This specific room allows minors and adults to mix, which is a horrible idea… not sure you guys realize I had over 25 men, who have had active accounts for years on the site pm this account… 25 different users, not to mention I barely talked in main, and they messaged first, and now more of them have tried to be sexual… by the way I’ve been active less than an hour total on the account.

Maybe I’m crazy, but you’re asking for a hotbed of adults and creeps, I’ve reported the 3 conversations and I seen one account was deleted following up today… @TheLeigh I’ll message you on there with the decoy and send you proof as I catch these predators but the concept of General chat is just a horrible idea from the start, and going through a rabbit hole on the chat alone, was just some of the worst things I have seen in chat ave

You have an account that is listed as a minor in General Chat, but you’re actually an adult - and your reasoning for it is to try and catch vile humans. Is that accurate?

Just to add in a Moderators notes on this as Leigh will handle your actions of baiting... I hope you are using the report function on the chat, for each one of these creeps? I personally take great pride in booting each one and reporting their accounts to the Admin for a ban, and I know every single other mod on Gen Chat feels the same way.
Just because those cretins are logged in, does not mean we condone anything they do, we want to remove them just as much as you claim to, so again, I hope you were also using the report function on each one of those Private Messages so that the next available mod can act on the report.

Sometimes that takes time....but we worked together for quite some time, hoping you remember some of the things we do behind the scenes. You are right- we really can't act on friends lists alone. I have no issue with you doing this or following this up - I said this happens in all chat rooms on this site. I know you specifically follow this up but I know of others who have clearly stated they will not remove people or pictures of older men with underage in the pictures as its not breaking the rules - this was under the previous admin preditor who clearly groomed in the room without a blink of an eye from most in there only the idiots (myself) who wasted my time in there for hours reporting SS and bringing it out in the open with a few others reporting to CM. Lesson well learnt.

This is the reason why I don't attend the rooms and have no intention of ever entering a chat room again on this site as its a pure waste of time to even bring this out in the open as at the end of day its a business and that business use to is make money so you may ban 500 another 500 will appear as they talk and advise which sites to use with the least detection.

1. Nobody is asking for the site to be shut down - that is unrealistic
2. From the years I have used this site 15+ the only time I have seen real action against this behaviour was when Sound was an admin after Graham and she was very strict on names, behaviours and friends lists. (who knows what happened after she left) maybe a change of ownership? but it went to hell in a hand basket after that.
3. I also understand banning is contingent on weather CM wants them banned or not if VIP or without concrete proof of said behaviour which is very subjective and I also understand they need to make money.

For the record I was not pointing the finger at one specific room it was a blanket statement of all rooms I have entered and all feedback it's a huge issues site wide.
