GET RID OF THE REPORT LIMIT SYSTEM!

You cannot ignore mods or admins. But they can ignore YOU. Some of them DO that.
If you ignore the ******** in the room. They just keep coming back with different screen names or guests' names. People can ignore morning, day, and night. It does not always work to be honest. Just saying!
It would be good to have unlimited report to click. To be honest.
That's why I said what I said It's faster to just ignore . What's the point of reporting when most of the time no Mods are logged and they never get answered ? It's pointless in my opinion so I'll just keep the ignore going . Besides it's not really my problem what goes on in any chat .

An easy way to fix all the problems on this website is to just shut down all the chat rooms. and then eventually shut the forums down, then burn down anything that remotely reminds society that chat ave ever existed.

OR

Hand this website over to some Federal Law Enforcement Agency so they can have instant access to all the illegal internet **** that takes place on here 24/7.

Feel that's maybe a bit drastic. Think just making the limit higher would be good enough for most people.

Getting rid of the report limit would allow trolls to basically spam the mods with 100’s of bogus reports they’d have to sift through, which would take away from the time spent reviewing legitimate reports. Can you imagine what people like Maks and Corey would do if they had an unlimited amount of reports to make? 😬😖

Yes, for my friends everything, for my enemies the rules.

Nothing will change as we don't have technical issues with any buttons on this site.
What we have here is mostly humanoid issues.

Then perhaps strict penalties could be set in place for abusing it...

Yes, so the few people who already abuse it to flag mods or anything out of anger, make use of it by making 476 flags in one session. Imagine logging onto that. I agree we need more but like a lot of features on this site, it gets abused and has to be altered or done away with.

I think it wouldn’t hurt to be raised to at most 10 allowed. Sadly, it does get abused I don’t I now how many times I would say in gay chat to ignore a chatter instead of reporting what you don’t want to hear. Or they’d report PMs of them getting rejected lol. Then you get the ones who report mods warnings lol.

Something that keeps popping up in my mind is that users keep asking for features or changes to how things are done. Everyone debates whether it should but two important parts are rarely ever discussed. The first is whether or not those with the capacity to do so will actually do it. I mean as far as I can tell, suggestions here are like they were back in the day, wasteful because they never listened. But second, and more importantly, can or are they something that's within the capacity of the system. Is it a setting that can be changed in the way that is being requested or is it a feature that's even viable for the system.

I'll admit I didn't actually read this thread through... I just wondered if anyone ever sits down to think about those things.

Sometimes I do. The first part I have never kept track of so I couldn’t tell you. The second I always wonder if it can. There’s many people in here that know the forum system and boom coding but I personally don’t so everything I examine is done with logic or what I think is best. It’s not done with any expectation as I am unaware of many things.

i think it should at least be raised. especially since certain people like to blame users for not reporting things.
yeah i'm not denying whether it should be raised...but i think the first thing that should be discussed with any suggestion for the site is whether it's feasible...whether it's something that's either a settings change or if it requires additional, pre-existing, modifications...and then if there's a cost...probably toss that idea out the window cause we know they won't spend a dime here...

Anyways...a settings change is the most likely of any sort of change to occur...because it doesn't require any additional effort or support...adding a mod or a plugin introduces effort, compatibility restrictions, etc. You've probably noticed that there aren't that many things on the forums these days...compared to how it used to be back in the day...each plugin that gets installed has to be maintained, upgraded when there's new versions, has to be ensured that it works with current versions of the forum software...and then risk assessed if a vulnerability for that plugin gets disclosed...keeping the forum vanilla keeps things simple to maintain...is there an update to the forum software? cool, schedule a maintenance...that's it...otherwise it's time consuming. The same goes for the chat...which I don't even know if there's any sort of plugin ecosystem for.

if the feature doesn't exist there is the technical possibility of having it written...but that takes time and money...neither of which they'd be willing to do...and once again introduces the complexity of the above

i'm not downplaying or saying don't suggest things...i'm saying...the debate doesn't really matter if the technical feasibility of it being introduced doesn't exist....or rather the weight of it should be considered...the discussion is still good...to determine group consensus on the topic and get a feel for what the users think about it...but feasibility is ultimately key

oh of course. it always come down to whether it's feasible or not. a little communication would be a great thing around here. a simple "we hear you but x can't be done because of y." but i know that is asking a lot.

it's been over 20 years since i joined here...back in the day i'd spend hours looking up ways to make the site better...from plugins to features to all sorts of things...and they don't care...the site is a passive income maker for them...it's set it and forget it...let the unpaid interns take care of it...even those that have the most power in the chat or forum don't have any sort of actual power...and also don't get much communication from the owners...we're all ants waiting for the humans to give us a slice of cake and hope they don't burn us with their magnifying glass...

Is anyone for cake?
If most people on this site aren't shitttttty report issues would not exist. So give the site master a break.
So now that we know the reason, let's see the drama play behind the curtains.
It's just another attempt to do damage on the site cause they lost mod and admin positions after the "peado debacle" on this site.
Another "revenge fiasco"?😋
This is all just whining and mostly "Mickey Mouse" talk and they know it. 😉

Atleast change the limit as staff ain't always online
Ok then why up the amount of reports a user can send if no Staff is on line to answer them ? It's a loss cause in my opinion . I've been on both sides and when a Mod logs in and there is say , 25 ******** that send a report on 2 different people that's a LONG list to clear for only ONE Mod on site . As all have been told IGNORE is free to use .
