me and gloomsy in the teen chat got into a disagreement and she proceeded to mute me after that just because she could after i said to leave me alone, which after that i sended a email to the admin email. Once i did that i told her that i reported her which after she kicked me out for 5min. Gloomsy is a bad mod, that does whatever she want, she post her private message in the chat when she go text people about some report they had so no privacy and nothing. She shouldnt be mod and many think the same

hiya! you got actioned for being disrespectful to me after we dealt with that problem in pms, it wasn’t for a random reason

now it may have been slightly hypocritical to mute the first time considering we were both going back and forth but the second action was completely justified considering you calling me a bitch.

hopefully this clears things up !

sorry reading this over now i can see i kinda worded how everything went wrong !

we weren’t arguing (atleast i don’t think so), i was simply returning the energy i was being given and when asked if i was “happy” in the end i replied with no, which then the first message of the ss was was sent.

to some it may be mod power abuse for actioning for it but ive spoken to an ex mod from ave about this (roughly ten minutes ago) and she completely agrees with me saying she would have done the same.

i apologize if i’m in the wrong here, i’m always looking for suggestions to improve my way of modding !

if anyone would like to see the screenshots (by this i mean mods/admins) of our conversation to look over how i handled it please feel free to let me know !!

I think you were quite right in muting first..then removing the user from chat for a hot five minutes to cool down. As a former GC mod ..I was called everything from A-Z..at that time, user disrepect of mods/admins and even profanity..especially when calling people out of their names, was grounds for a mute/kick or even an outright ban if the behavior continued.

Since you asked…..and this is just my personal opinion and is a general comment not about this specific situation, but if a moderator is having a discussion with a chattter and things get heated, they shouldn’t use their mod “powers” against the person (unless it’s an actual rule violation). If the moderator gets upset there are other ways to deal with it, like leaving the conversation till things cool down.

Respectfully, I agree with this. However, I was there for most of the situation, and after gloomsy discussed something with Jellyfish due to a possible violation, he at first didn’t answer. And then proceeded to be disrespectful for the exchange thereafter, while gloomsy stayed as professional as can be. So in my opinion, the way the situation was handled was of correct manner.

putting the user on "ignore" perhaps?

I've spoken with the mod about the action issued here. I agree that taking action for what was said here is not the appropriate response, and we've sorted it.
However, it doesn't hurt to be respectful whilst communicating with a moderator. They're people too. Your conduct was poor in his instance. Keep that in mind.
