Huge GTA fan. I still remember getting GTA 3 for my birthday back in 2001, and getting to play it for a while before heading off to school that morning. Playing some more when I got back. Great times haha.
I enjoyed all 3 ps2 games a lot for the story mode and just messing around. My friends and I would take turns creating the most epic police chase then voted on whose chase was the best.
The PSP's Vice City and Liberty City Stories games were amazingly well written, and had great main characters. Especially Victor Vance imo.
Then IV came along and man. At first I was thrown off guard by the driving controls, but once I got the hang of them I loved every minute of driving in that game. The story mode quickly became my favorite of the series and Niko is my favorite main character of the series. The DLC games. Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and Damned were fun to play.
GTA V isn't as good as IV imo but I still like it for what it is. Rockstar did an amazing job at making the city feel like Los Angeles, California. Even the traffic is as bad in the game as i've heard about the real life thing haha, and the story is ok. Some people have an issue with 3 main characters but I was fine with it. Just wish the beginning of Franklins story would have gotten a little more put into it.
I wish that Rockstar would have given us more offline DLC like they did with IV because some of those characters would have been great to play as such as Paige Harris imo. Lamar, Stretch perhaps, or Packie. That would have been a interesting change getting to play as someone who was previously a NPC instead of the other way around like in the past games. Some of the GTA Online characters introduced characters would have been cool to see be part of such a DLC story too like Avery and Thornton Duggan. Avery would have been a far better villain than Steve Haines or Devin Weston.
