Im personally for everyone having guns, I think the more people who have guns, the less worry a minorty has to worry about being infringed on, Like I personally think lgbt people should be more open with possessing guns since we know how many get physically attacked for being LGBT

There are no questions to answer. A lot of the mass shootings that take place in America are perpetrated with legally owned guns. Gun control would take a lot of them out of circulation and place a legal onus on licence holders to manage their firearms securely and safely.

We have very strict gun laws in several major cities like Chicago/New York/Baltimore etc and they do nothing to curb gun violence.
I’m sure your president could talk to the former NZ PM. She did fantastically well there in getting huge amounts of guns removed 👍
That's probably because you have lax gun laws elsewhere and it's easy to transport them from a state that encourages ownership into a restricted city.
National, or federal if you prefer, strict gun control would solve a lot of problems.
As for removing them, issue an amnesty for a set period. Either register and apply for a licence or hand them in. Any unlicensed weapons found after the period of amnesty would carry an automatic prison sentence unless there were extremely extenuating circumstances.

personally, I think anyone trying to threaten my life or do bodily harm, I have the right to use a gun to stop them. Once someone is violating my right to life, I have the right to defend myself by any means necessary. Law abiding citizens don't want to use a gun and kill people cause they into that, they want to refrain from using it.

These are called felonies and they already exist for unlawful possession of guns, especially when used to commit a crime.

Gun owners should be licenced, vetted and random authority checks and mentality checks done regularly.
They claim human rights (protection) then they can abide by others’ human rights. Nobody wants to go out knowing there’s a psychotic gun holder on the loose. We’ve seen HR on forums imagine that on your doorstep.
This is also another situation based debate and one’s own perception ofc. The USA is far too fluid on guns I find and the uk is far too soft on when guns should be considered and prioritised so I’m catch 22.

Since in your post to me you seem to be suggesting that Americans are a different species from other nationalities, perhaps you can explain why anyone living in the UK is significantly less likely to get shot than anyone living in the US.
Could it possibly be that our gun laws are significantly tighter than yours or is there some other explanation that we’re all missing here?

well there is universal background checks where you not allowed to purchase or possess a gun if it fails, and a lot of times these violent gun crimes are done by people with a rap sheet of offenses that will caused the right to bear arms to be stripped. A lot of the times thse psychos are known to be psychos before hand and yet they are not stopped, the issue is criminals possessing guns to do harm, not law abiding citizens
