Discussing guns is not prohibited, but it is a sensitive topic for some individuals. While owning guns is acceptable, conversations involving plans for mass killings, self-harm, or harm to others should be reported. Gun violence continues to be a significant concern in the United States. It's important to note that not all gun owners use their firearms for harmful purposes. If someone desires to cause harm, seeking help immediately is crucial.

Parents play a crucial role in firearm safety by securely locking up their firearms and keeping them out of reach of teenagers. Taking proactive measures to store guns responsibly helps ensure a safer environment for everyone.

Just wanna pose this question. Should users be allowed to post photos of themselves holding guns in PG13 rooms? In a gun obsessed society should we allow it to be allowed here? Discuss
No guns! I voted NO.

I am against. Mainly seen far to many videos and pics of teens displaying guns shortly before they went on a shooting spree. Do icons with guns trigger me? The answer is not really. But it could trigger someone that has lost someone due to gun violence. Guns are a controversial topic But one of those probably best to not to have around, like that evil frog

Anyone that responds it is not the guns but its the mental health will get a evil tomato face from me. They are not increasing mental health funding if anything funds are decreasing.
There are some good case histories and examples on why red flag laws are needed for guns. Randy Stair You Tuber/mass murderer.
The best example of the epic failure is Brandon Hole , aka The Brony Killer. It is obvious he should of never been able to purchase firearms.

So I vote no gun thingie

In a gun obsessed society? What you want this place to become? Law and Order?

This is an international site.

In specific situations yeah maybe it would be relevant to deal with photos of guns but as a general rule? It’s too much ruling.

You will never be able to completely control a persons actions no matter how many rules you place.

By the way the more rules that don’t make sense that makes it through the more you’ll never get any users to stick around.

Just an open discussion here. I’m not getting involved. My thoughts are clear. I don’t think they should be. The floor is open to everyone else to comment. But please no personal attacks or ugliness.
Of course we’re not going to attack anyone pork chop

Everybody is entitled to their 2 cents or 2 shillings

u never watched a pg13 movie before has u?
Two different things. One is a fictional movie where adults play good vs bad whereas (what I'm against) a child holding a gun or putting up a photo makes them think it's a toy.

We already have adults not just on this site but everywhere who think guns are toys and status objects. Many of these people buy them for political reasons or because they're insecure and want to give their self image a boost....these are the people who end up becoming a statistic so why let kids do that?

I wasn't allowed toy guns, even the caps used in the Robocop toys that you'd put on their back and pull a trigger to emulate smoke and gun fire, were removed by my mom. We have too many people who are adults and just buy a gun but don't have the awareness, maturity and even the self control that's needed to own one. Most of these people on here who've posted guns aren't taught the importance not putting your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot.

If you allow kids to upload photos of video games and movie stars with guns, you'll leave a loop hole for kids to post actual guns and selfies and argue about some dweeb who had up a photo of a Call of Duty character.

I'm a gun owner but I've only discussed it when Snoogs, Infamous, RA threatened to come to my house and harm me, because that's why I own one = home defense. But I'm also well aware I would only announce I'm armed and wouldn't fire. Home defense doesn't mean kill. Kids? They don't see that. They just see it as something cool that can be used against bad guys but when you have kids who can't tell good from bad, you end up with people being harmed like what we see in school shootings.

Over all when guns are used in photos it's a symbol of violence and always put up as a threat in a dopey chat room like "you troll me, just remember, I have one of these". This site already has enough problems with predators and protecting kids. Let's not bring about another issue that harms kids.

You're around my age (I'll be 40 this year) I believe so maybe you'll remember when kids were given toy guns and would go outside pretending to shoot random pedestrians with them and many cops would end up shooting or even killing these kids. So they then started putting orange caps on the muzzle to indicate they're fake...kids still to this day have been shot by cops because people call in about seeing a kid with a gun that's a realistic model, show up and the kid points it at the cops because they think it's a game and a toy. I was never allowed those guns except for Super Soakers and we just used them in the backyard.

This country has a gun problem, even the adults don't have the respect towards the gun to realize what it's intended purpose is and under no circumstances should it be used outside of target practice or if your life is in jeopardy. People buying their kids guns for Christmas, like it's a Red Rider or some crap, before even teaching the child the importance of what to do and what not to do.

As much as I don't like hunting and never will, hunting parents teach their kids the importance of what a gun is used for, how to clean and maintain it and that in a sense, they have to have self control and that it's a weapon designed to kill. Even though there's kids who grow up fine if they're raised in hunting families, it still leaves open the possibility of them being exposed to something that can desensitize them. If I had a child interested in hunting, I'd have none of it because I don't want the possibility of it being a bad influence on them, same with video games (I was not allowed to play Mortal Kombat).

Watching the news right now? An Indiana law maker flashed his gun to students on campus as a fear tactic..there you go, an adult who has no business having a consealed weapon. It's a weapon of destruction. It's not an argument winner, you don't pull it out whenever you're in your emotions and losing an argument.

All of these factors lead to the problems this country has and wants to keep hush hush. While video games haven't been linked to mass shootings or causing people to act those out, it hasn't been tested on kids because, why experiment on kids with things that will possibly ruin their lives by rewiring their brain? We have a simple solution to it and added ratings for games but parents still buy their kids GTA (can't tell you how many kids I've heard on mic in a GTA lobby). Add that I with a rise in kids actually committing assault and worse, murder, it's a recipe for a disaster. I read last night about a story on the 25 of a 15 year old beating up a 10 year old girl he lured to the woods, then clubbed her with a stick, strangled her and did things to her body after. He will be tried as an adult. We have kids shooting parents with their own guns, mostly over being grounded, sometimes because they're joking and think it's a funny prank and the gun goes off. ..

THEYRE NOT TOYS FFS!

theres a clear difference between a pfp of a (your) new glock and a picture of someone eating a glock. just like theres a clear difference between someones deer (game) hunting pfp and someone using the pfp to shoot innocent animals and intimidate and brandish.

hard fast blanket rules should not be applied to this situation. but clear direction and rules should be put in place for mods to better handle the entire subject of guns.

Even the hunting photos though, it's traumatic. Even as an adult and animal lover, I hate seeing them and I don't care what anyone says, it's disrespectful to pose with their corpse and if they want to take photos, thats on them but they dont have the self awarenessor courtesy to realize (FB for instanc) their family and friends may not want to see them posing with a bloody animal on their profile photo. It also leaves open the option for certain animals that are approved by the governmentof that country to hunt. FB had people trolling cat meme groups with hunters posing with feral cats theyve killed in Australia. One guy In Singles spams photos of him draining the blood, guttibg and then skinning his kills. No one wants to see that.

What's with the condescending bs? I'm explaining what many gun instructors and responsible gun owners echo and brought up examples of gun owner negligence.
excuse moi, nuffink condescendating, just being a Bampot to lighten the mood.
