we do a bun or braid variation for my daughter every single day. also for dance. she is in twirl (baton) classes and they have to wear buns so their hair doesnt tangle in some of their tricks.
have you tried the bow bun? its really cute. and doing some french braids sideways or in the bangs instead of just down the middle like regular.
