Happy Thanksgiving Chat Ave

I am trying hard to be thankful about something Canada related. Someone help me with suggestions. Instead of happy Thanksgiving I wish to say Happy Halloween and inform you all that this house will be handing out full sized candy bars.

We celebrate what we call Roadelor which is Thanking God for providing us with a good harvest. Our entire family gathers and we eat so much food during the celebration. Sausage, Mici, Stuffed Cabbage or Huge Stuffed Red Peppers and home made Cozonac Cake. There’s a tradition many do after the feast which is hiking into the forest to reap Wild Yellow Mushrooms and making them into soups and grilling them.

Sounds wonderful. Here it began with the expected religious undertonnes etc in more recent decades has evolved to ge a general thanks for all our blessings.

....I made a nice vegeratian meal9potatoes from the garden, br.ussels sprouts, carrots peas (all from the garden) gravey of course-stuffing, everythjing but a turkey (it never made sense to me to thank god .for what I have- by taking everything some other creature has) I just have an aunt a lon.mg ways a way now, .so I help at thbe food bank for a while, then have supper here listen to some tunes and bring some meat scraps home for the cats lol

I really like your tradiotion of a hioke and making soup from the mushrooms......
