explaining the need for a mod on at the time you are a mod may help chatmaster choose the next mod (maybe you) , if there is no need for a mod he wont make one. examples of not needing a mod, quiet calm chat, user numbers are low, a mod already on during your timezone, no spamming, no bots, no outside links being posted constantly. also knowing and talking to one of the other sports chat mods will help you in connecting with chatmaster.
what won't get you a mod spot: moderating another chat/social media site, hounding cm, causing general asshat-ery in chat, sending repeated pm's & creating threads. arguing and yelling at or telling the mods or cm off.

what will get you a mod spot:
You have to be dense headed and total stupid, have to be shameless, you mustn't have no social status, no self-respect, you have to be a sycophant and kiss admin's ass, you cannot be smart (because smart people can put CM in jail for his BS activity.), cm loves thick headed people who will serve him top to bottom like any servant does (example : purplerose.) U must support some dense headed idiot type admin and mods to show your sycophant personality. u have to behave like any servant does.
Extra tips: Harass some users in the room who got problem with your room admin. This will increase the chance to get u a mod spot faster. Many dense headed idiot did this to get the mod spot quickly.
