Our one year old pup from arkansas has heartworm. Is this a big deal???
heartworm disease is a debilitating illness that leads to death, if left untreated.
'To death' by means of heart failure. Puppies and older dogs are particularly more vulnerable than the middle-age healthy dogs.
I would strongly recommend you to contact a vet for a check-up and for medications if possible.
