Does anyone know if hotels are open yet? I would like to take a mini vacation to Shreveport, LA in August. I have to use my vacation time by mid September at my job or I'll lose it. I'd like to go to Shreveport just to get out of state. Shreveport is only 4 hours away from where I live in Bryan, TX. My plan is to get a hotel there for 3 nights and hang out and meet people.

It looks like at this stage of the game it is different for every state. call them up and ask ?

Hotels in most places, including Shreveport, are open now, so you should be good for your trip in August. I’d recommend booking ahead just in case things get busy around that time.

There are plenty of options depending on your budget, whether you want something fancy or just a simple and clean room. I’ve found that places closer to the city center make exploring so much easier, especially if you're into museums and great local food spots.
