How are bans reasoned?

I have been noticing this for a while with this certain user, so I'm posting this to point it out more than to seek a specific kind of engagement or solution. However I'm also genuinely confused if kick and ban comes paired together after a point, and chat bans are not as heavily context based?

"01:59:53

Reason given

4/06 13:03 We all know youre a creep, moron"

This is the reason for a 2 hour kick and seemingly a 6 day ban for one of the regulars and my friend on Gen chat.
And no it was not bullying since I was there and it was a single comment. And it was not addressed to anybody. Besides, it does not have any banned words, or derogatory terms(as compared to the cuss we are familiar with in the room).
If I push myself to reason it strictly, even then I can accept a kick but a 6 day ban for this is extremely confusing and infuriating to me.

Your friend will have to make their own appeal, no one will discuss other users account status or actions with you.

I will add, how we mod is based on the set of rules that is readily available. We have our criteria and directives from the Admin on how to apply discipline to these rules based on a scale. Once you reach a certain scale, the punishments are alot heavier, as expected, and could result in an Admin ban.
So while something may seem very innocent, when its the 20th action for the same behavior, its a 2 hour kick automatically. This all accrues over time just like a driving record or criminal record does in real life.

But honestly, to answer your question: Follow the rules = no ban, break the rules = ban.

@Drock You have misunderstood me already in two different ways. Let me get this clear, I am not inquiring about why my friend was actioned. Rather I am trying to ask a question with an example. And I know how kicks work, they get longer in duration as u keep on getting kicked. I think I will ask it plainly again, since it is not about the kick or context of the kick... Do shadowbans also become an inevitable part of the whole kick duration exceeding cycle as we continue to break rules?
Or
Are shadow bans also imposed based on frequency of offences rather than holding just the intensity of it as the context?
Bec if they do then I was definitely not aware of this. And I am certain many other regulars will also benefit from having an answer to this.

No I understand your motives behind the thread. Its a backhanded way of inquiring why another user was actioned and our protocols on how we mod or what actions we take on accounts. Neither is your business as a chatter.

Just enjoy the chat room within the posted rules and the scope of the room.

Yes, I would ask Leigh, I hope to get a clearer answer @Drock because if anything, I am just genuinely confused. I dont know why youre angry

Dont mistake being direct, with having any emotion to my replies 🙂 Im just explaining, again what is within your lines as a chatter, and what isnt. This isnt your first fishing expedition. The rules are clear, and if broken actions up to and including a ban, could be utilized. Thats the answer to your question, atleast the answer you are entitled to.
Leigh may choose to give more details, but I doubt it. All of my replies are based on her wishes, which come direct from the wishes of the site owner.

If I may...

You're basically asking whether users are graded on the quantity of their rule-breaking, the quality of it, or both.

Either way, you're still breaking the rules. Why make a hobby out of finding the limit? 😁

Either you are confused with your vocabulary or you are actually insulting me on purpose, which is petty and I wouldnt appreciate it, but either way hobby is definitely not what it is. Understanding where boundaries are and how they're evaluated can help users stay within them more effectively is what I believe. I am a person who likes to stay informed but the nature of my curiosity is definitely more similar to why would a chatter read the rules, not to game it, but to understand reasoning and enforcement.
However, exactly, quality and quantity is one way to put it.

I'm not confused by my own wording. If anything, I'm glad my point came across clearly enough that we seem to agree that it can be viewed as a matter of quality and quantity.

And I wasn't trying to insult you. If it came across that way, I apologize. I can certainly get that you're asking to better understand how the rules are enforced, not to push the boundaries. I was just trying to simplify the question down to its core: whether moderation decisions are based on quantity or quality of rule-breaking, or a combination of both.

That said, the answer doesn't really change the practical outcome. Understanding the rules and how they're enforced is useful, but the best way to avoid penalties is still the same: follow the rules.

It’s cute you think there’s rules or some kind of guidelines they follow here. Leigh is an overly emotional, unstable woman who can’t control her feelings. She makes decisions on a whim and offers no explanation as to why she does anything, because she doesn’t have to.

The people who run this place don’t give a **** about anything but ad revenue.

I can show you or anyone else for that matter the conversation her and I had where she absolutely crumbles at her attempt to explain why she’s banned me. iI’s pretty embarassing for her. And this site.

Don’t waste your time trying to get any sort of accountability or admission of guilt from these moderators. They have zero.

This thread can be closed now @TheLeigh 😏

If its a male they ban you for doing A, because of B, resulting in C. Logical easy to understand. You cant really be mad, actions and consequences.

When its a female banning you it can be anything from PMS, Hysteria, Inner demons, Making too much sense, the horoscope said, she dreamed something she didn't like and now its your fault, she chipped her expensive custom nail polish art and now its your fault, the food delivery guy ate half her chicken nuggets and now its your fault, god told her to and she non ironically listens to the voices in her head(Irish) etc etc. Treat it as a natural disaster, it doesn't need to make sense it just happens.

Why should you be explained why youve been banned if you cant seem to remember what got you fired/banned from being a mod?

Its cute you think i listen to the voices in my head its also cute i live rent free in yours 🙂 have a great day

I deleted my account in general chat and it was the best thing that I ever did. I love that DRock and IrishLady can never get the satisfaction of kicking me out ever again.
Not actually things that matter like getting hired for that job you applied for. The bar is pretty low if the best thing youve ever done was delete from a chat room you were no longer liked in or welcomed in.
