How to Use Chat: A Step-by-Step Guide




Creating an Account:​

You can join any of chat rooms as a guest or registered user, but creating an account unlocks full features.

Step 1:
  • On the login page, click “Register Now” to begin creating your account.
Step 2:
  • Fill out the required details like username, e m a i l, and password. Be sure to choose a unique username that reflects your identity.
Step 3:
  • Check your email for the verification code. If it's not in your inbox, check your spam folder. Didn’t get the e m a i l? Click “Resend Code” to try again.
Step 4:
  • After verifying your e m a i l, your account is set! Log in and you’ll be ready to chat.


Navigating Chatroom Features:



1. Chat Window:

  • Once you’re inside the chatroom you can choose to send messages in main or private messages to another user.
2. User List:

  • On the right side of the screen, you’ll see a list of all current participants in the chatroom. You can click on a username to view their profile, send a private message, or add them as a friend.

Step 1: Access Your Profile

  • Click on your profile icon located at the top-right corner of the chat interface.
  • From the dropdown, select “Edit Profile” to enter your profile settings.
Step 2: Customize Your Profile
  • In the “Account” section, you'll have multiple options to personalize your experience:
  • Edit “About Me”: Add or update your bio to let others know more about you.
  • Mood: Set a mood status that reflects how you’re feeling.
  • Username & Text Colors: Customize the colors of your username and chat text to stand out. You can choose between normal, gradient, or neon colors. (Some of these options are limited to a specific rank.)
  • Theme Settings: Choose different themes to change the look of the chat interface, and even switch to dark mode for a different vibe.
  • Sound Settings: Control the chat’s notification sounds, enabling or disabling them as needed.
Step 3: View Gifts
  • In the “Gift” section of your profile, you can see any virtual gifts other users have sent you.
  • To send “Gifts” to another chatter you must collect Gold. To earn gold be in the chatroom.
Step 4: More
  • Manage Friends: View, add, or remove friends from your friends list.
  • Manage Ignores: Block or unblock users who you’ve chosen to ignore.
  • Privacy Settings: Adjust who can see your profile, send you messages, or add you as a friend.
  • Language/Location: Choose your preferred language and update your location for a more tailored experience.
  • Login Options: Customize your login preferences for added convenience or security.
  • Edit Email: Update the email address linked to your account.
  • Change Password: Strengthen your security by updating your password.
  • Logout: Safely log out of all your accounts from the current account.
  • Delete Account: If you ever wish to leave the platform, this option allows you to permanently delete your account. (Note: It takes 7 days for the account to be wiped completely.)

    Navigating the Chat


    Here's a quick guide to help you move around and use the key features in Chat:
    • Hamburger Menu (Top Left):
      Clicking the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner gives you access to various options, which are detailed in the “More Information” section. From here, you can manage settings, account info, and room options.
    • Plus (+) Sign:
      The + sign near the chat box unlocks additional features such as:
      • Upload: Share images, files, and other media directly into the chat.
      • Draw Tool: Create and share drawings with other chat members.
      • You Tube Upload: Link and upload You Tube videos for everyone to view.
    • Note: Some features may only be available in certain rooms, or you might need a higher rank to access them.

Step#1 - Rooms: Under “Rooms List” you can access all the side rooms for the room. You can click a room you’d like to enter, But specific rooms have rank requirements or passwords.

Step 2: Creating a Room

- If you meet the rank requirements, you can create your side room! Here’s how to set it up:

Step 1:
  • Click the “Add Room” button located at the top of the room list.
Step 2:
  • A form will appear where you can customize your new room. Fill in the following details:
    • Room Name: Choose a unique and engaging name for your room.
    • Room Type: Select whether the room is public or private, depending on your preference.
    • Password: If you want to restrict access, set a password for entry.
    • Description: Provide a brief overview of your room’s purpose or theme to attract potential members.
Step 3:
  • After creating the room, you’ll see a red tag with a crown icon, indicating that you are the room owner.
Step 4:
  • As the owner, you can grant others administrative privileges by promoting them to admin or moderator. To do this:
    • Click on the user’s account in the room.
    • Select “Choose Action”, then navigate to the “Room” options.
    • From here, you can Change Rank, Mute, or Block the user as needed.

Editing or Removing Room Information:


To edit or remove your room information, follow these steps while inside your chatroom:

Step 1:
  • Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) located at the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 2:
  • From the dropdown menu, select the cogwheel icon to access your room settings.
Step 3:
  • In the settings menu, you have several options to manage your room:
    • Manage Room Settings: Edit room details such as name, type, and description.
    • Manage Staff: Adjust the roles and permissions of your room’s administrators and moderators.
    • Manage Actions: Take action against disruptive users by muting or banning them from the room.

Commands:

The /topic command also supports the use of tags to personalize the room's topic by automatically including a user’s name. This adds a personal touch to the room’s message.

How to use it:
  • Type /topic Welcome to my side room %user% to dynamically insert the user’s name into the topic.

    When a user enters, it will display:
    "Welcome to my side room [Username]!"

    No Password Needed for Room Owners:

    If you’re the room owner, you can enter your room without needing to input a password. Simply click “Enter”, and you’ll be granted access right away!

Friends Wall:



The Friends Wall is a fun and interactive space where you can engage with your friends by sharing messages, media, and more. Here’s how it works:

  • Send a Message: Write a personal note to your friend or comment on something they’ve shared.
  • Upload Emojis: Add emojis to your messages to express yourself in a fun and colorful way.
  • Share Media: You can also upload images, MP3 audio files, or MP4 video clips directly to the wall, allowing for a more engaging and dynamic interaction.

News Section

The News section functions similarly to the Friend’s Wall but is exclusively managed by the administrator. Only admins can post here, making it the go-to spot for important announcements or updates.
  • Administrator Posts: Admins can share updates, events, or any important news for the entire community.
  • Comment & React: While only admins can post, all users can leave comments or reactions (such as emojis) on the posts, allowing for community engagement.

Leaderboard



The Leaderboard is where users can track their rankings and performance in various categories. It displays data over weekly, monthly, and all-time periods, making it a great way to see how you stack up against others.

Here’s what you can check on the leaderboard:

  • Top XP: See who has earned the most experience points.
  • Top Level: Track the users who have reached the highest levels.
  • Top Gold: View the top earners of in-game currency or rewards.
  • Top Likes: Discover who has received the most likes from the community.
  • Top Gifts: Check who has sent or received the most virtual gifts.

Buying Gold/VIP



The Gold and VIP sections allow users to enhance their chat experience by purchasing virtual currency and exclusive features.

  • Gold:
    You can buy Gold to spend on virtual gifts for other users, helping you stand out and show appreciation. Gold can be used to unlock special items and rewards within the chat.
  • VIP:
    Purchasing VIP status gives you access to premium features such as custom avatars, exclusive chat rooms, enhanced profile customization, and more. The benefits of VIP can vary depending on the chatroom you're in.
  • Pricing:
    The prices for Gold and VIP may differ depending on the room, so be sure to check the specific rates for each chatroom you're using.
