How's the weather?

It has been sunny and in the 70's in South Carolina the last few days, but we have a cold front coming in Saturday night. All of the state has been in a drought all year long, and it doesn't look like we will get any relief this winter.

The current weather pattern has helped blow the smoke from the wildfires away from this area. You could see the haze during the day, and could not see the stars at night. For the last few days I haven't been able to leave the house because the smoke has aggravated my asthma. Tonight the stars are shining brightly. The only thing that will help bring the fires under control is a good heavy rain, and the chances of that are very small given the current airflow patterns. What we really need is a good hurricane to break this cycle.

the weather is fine in England at moment abit cold but nice we are waiting for snow but London will come to astop
 
It seems to fluctuate between cloudy, sunny, and snowy where I reside.

Not that I mind. Watching people drive in the snow can, at times, be entertaining.
 
Cold and raining, about 52`F and 60% relative humidity. It wouldn't feel so miserable if the humidity wasn't so high. I would prefer 20`F and 20% RH. Seriously, winter in NY was less harsh than winter in SC. I do enjoy not having to shovel snow for the last 42 years. I used to shovel snow higher than my head in NY, but it was usually light and fluffy, so not so much effort for a young adolescent. Down here if you have anything to shovel, it is sleet and ice, but whatever falls is gone in two days or less.
 
Record temp here this past weekend. 82...so hot for this time of year.
All I want is a white Christmas *pouts* yall share some snow!

NO snow of course, everyone gets snow but me! :crying: It's in the 40's today with 20's at night. Later in the week it will get back to the upper 70's.

It's cold, a still cold. No wind so weather is GREAT today!!
 
BE my guest cats 😛 i hate winter so much and snow ugh its all "winterwonderland" bull****y around here. Snow up to ones balls, slippery, wet, cold, annoying 😛

Wow, I never realized that you have "never" been around snow before. I had always wanted to say that you were lucky for living where you do, and the mild winter climate (for growing), but I think I can understand a bit better now. I had thought that Atlanta got hit hard with snow back in the 90's, or early 2000's ('bout shut the city down)....but perhaps it did not get down to you, then. Oh well, I'll do my best to at least send you some pics, if and when it happenes here. See ya soon sweetheart.

I am so tired of the bipolar weather we have here. This past weekend it was in the teens and 20s with icy roads and a bit of snow, and now its 71F. I either want all winter weather or none at all 😛:curse:

Ya know, something I have never noticed ever before. Anytime a fruit tree is dormant (in the winter), and then sees warm weather, or even just when the weather warms up a little bit, it is triggered to start budding with flowers..(it thinks it's spring).....just for those flower buds to be killed off when the cold returns. This doesn't kill the tree, but lots of fruit trees form their buds for the next year, at the end of summer. So everytime buds come out in the winter, and killed off, that's less fruit that the tree will bear when the time comes.
It was minus 0 degrees F here last weekend (1/8/17), now we have forcasts calling for the mid 60's this week. I've spent lots of time planting and caring for my new fruit trees, now I worry about 'em, like they are my family.
At any rate, I'm not sure how much this has happened in my lifetime, but now that I know a little about trees, I notice lots of things. When I ride from work, I have seen these two trees in someone's yards break bud twice this winter, only to watch those pruple/pink flowers die off from cold. It'll be interesting to see how those two trees spare come the spring.
So, the weather.......sorta wierd if you're a tree....or a tree caretaker.

As for the weather here, its been a "spring like" week here, upper 70's. It's going to be a beautiful weekend. We going to get some boat time in and go fishing. 😀😀😀😀😀

It's funny, after tha post I posted the other night...........today it was a very mild warm sunny winter's day. No jacket needed.
 
We had snow in Brighton yesterday, I really did not think it was going to be cold enough for snow but I was wrong. Sadly I woke this morning and it had not settled... I was hoping to see my cat James enjoy himself in the garden!

Wow, me and Rudy (her in my arms, on her back like a little baby) just sat on the front porch rocker today, for about 15 minutes, just basking in the very warm winter sun. I know it had to hit the lower 70's. It's 65 degrees now, at 5pm, and overcast. And every bit of snow, from last weekend, is gone without a trace.
 
it has been to us like summer weathers 50's 60's it is gtting colder but not by much ..rain is pedicted .. I say we get one bad storm or maybe two this year ... we shall see * waits in the mild temperature 🙂
 
Hard to get too excited about what the weather is doing, heh heh.

By this time tomorrow DJT will be Mr President and, according to many folk, the world will end!

Currently 4C and sunny, feels colder though - like take your breath away cold but at least the frost has melted today
