I got kicked for trying to be funny…

I got kicked for 30 minutes for trying to be funny in main saying that 80% of guests are either Indian, from another country or a call center. But when others say that kind of stuff in main, they don’t get warned, muted or kicked. I didn’t even get a warning from anyone saying “don’t post stuff like that” or “next time you say that you’ll be kicked” like everyone else.

Then when I returned I was frustrated and posted on my wall for friends to see then was kicked for 2 hours. Am I missing something here?

I totally understand, it is frustrating to have to deal with the frequent indian african spam scam.

I think it was harsh. You have a rght to be upset and frustrated at the mods being unable to stop the problem. I feel, emily uk works hard and keeps a clean room compared to singles chat which suffered for a while and people left from the constant spam.
 
I guess, not so funny now, is it? Even veiled racism is still racism. Any type of bigotry is very much frowned upon in GC. It’s not a new rule, and I know for a fact the mods there would action someone who messes with the feminine vibe of the room, especially if it’s in a report.

And if you say you’ve seen it before, report it always. Sometimes the mods get busy and may not be checking the main screen at that moment. This is why this feature is so important.

Pretty sure your kick would have expired now, and Ms Karina can look into this and advise on if this is, in fact the whole story, or if you accidentally omitted important details of the matter.

Your dealing with ethnic country specfc scam gangs. They ruin it for everyone, including their own honest citizenry. Their fellow citizens get analyzed by users as having a high danger scam risk.

I watched a couple of Indian men in singles that said things, showing their agenda, I wished I had screen shotted.

I would make a good mod because I can identify catfish from a male perspective. Sometimes it is subtle.

Yes, scammers for sure. But let’s not bring ethnicity into it and demonise the NICE Indian people out there that are just trying to chat. That’s my point. In no way am I condoning the actions of scammers.

Not all scammers are Indian and not all Indian people are scammers.

Because the mods *Cough Smalltowngirl cough Irishlady" will kick anyone bashing the Indians.

This is not your first instance of it as well and I also saying "I deserve a warning for being racist" makes this all look worse.

There are idiots from all walks of life and just because someone else is acting out, going after their race, gender, sexual orientation, or anything like that will never be tolerated.

Lastly, as there was an issue with a user at the time and a someone else make a nasty comment, it was said in main from staff to not go after those things listed above, you didnt listen. You were making racial comments along with another user who was removed as well. So no, you were not the only one either.

Is Kaylee Correct, her joke is the reality. Are the scammers organized using the indian call center business structure model?
 
The problem is not Indians or any other race. The problem is chat rooms get perverts.


In my experience there are just as many western pervs as other race pervs if not more when you look at it as a per capita thing.


When you compare populations of x country compared to how many pervs we see then I have to say western countries don't fare too well.


For me its sad to say there is way too many Australians who come in who are perverts. (Im Australian)

What part was racist? I put “lol” at the end like any other user would making it sound funny. This was also after I told another user that in my opinion 95% of guests in the room were guys. All in all I was trying to be funny since I don’t post in main much. I didn’t mean to be racist if that was on anyone’s mind. Guess I won’t “try to be funny” anymore. Have a sense of humor people. Geez.

There was nothing funny about your comment. Making a racial stereotype "joke" is indeed not a joke. Its clear by the responses in this thread and in the room, many others do not agree its a joking matter.. I dont believe anything is "blown up", the behavior was wrong.

If anything, laughing at it makes it worse. There’s nothing funny about any bigotry.
