So yesterday I was standing in line at a bakery, minding my own business, when a little kid (maybe 6 years old) suddenly turns around, looks me dead in the eyes, and says:
“Do you know why my mom brought me here?”
I said, “No, why?”
He leans closer like he’s about to reveal classified information and whispers:
“Because I’m the only one who knows how to behave… and she doesn’t.”
His mom just froze and stared at him like she was rebooting.
The whole bakery went silent for two seconds, then the cashier burst out laughing so hard she dropped a muffin.
And since everyone was already laughing, I topped it off with:
“Well, at least someone in this family rose to the occasion… like that muffin on the floor.”
Kid laughed. Mom didn’t. Muffin didn’t either.
10/10 moment, would witness again. 😂
