Ideas to stop some pedo behavior

I now this would require a huge update and probably never happen. But another site that users a totoally different program from cody chats has it set up where minors cant pm people over 18 and vice versa. I think cody chats should make an update so chat avenue can have an option like this. I know people can lie about age but this would still protect some people I think.

No matter what it is reported for, mods/admins have always got to give a reason. I got told that mods/admins that kick with “no reason provided” are setting them self up to be fired m. We know that we kick for a reason and 90% of the time the user knows too, some genially might be a mistake so like 1% and 9% are trolls that know and want to create drama

Someone suggested that to me in the room. That would be the perfect way to get rid of 99% of visitors.

I agree @DynamicDylan. Most of them know they’re on for a dodgy reason and they expect to be kicked. On the other hand I kicked someone last night by mistake (fat fingers 🤣). I unkicked straight away, apologised to the guy and he was completely cool with it.

Whatever’s put in place, if people want to find a way around it they will so we just have to keep kicking ass 🥋

Firstly you will never eliminate them fully and the fact the site will pass on addresses of people caught in the act is a good thing.

I was in a ki k groupe and in order to join u have to send a live pic of u holding a piece of paper with a,number on it to admin. The numer was one generated by admin.
The pic was not kept. That ment the group of ******** had all,been vetted.
Worked very well.

Also. Why dont mods look at profiles. Some have pics highly inappropriate and also links to pics withing their about me.

Just suggestions. Dont shoot me. Id love to see the site improve on what its already doing
 
I wouldnt feel comfy passing on my credit card details,to people who are randomly appointed.
Could be abused and any cash removed wouldnt be able to be recoved as u gave it to a non fsa affiliated company

I'm not exactly sure how it all worked but it was part of the process of creating an account. So I believe it just went to the site owner or into a file ...

Having underage as a reason might help encourage reporting of UA and save mods from having to type underage in the reason box.

Problem is, mods can't really determine if someone is underage unless they flat out say it. When I modded I'd ask them their age and if they admitted theyvwere under 13, I told them to go to kids chat, I couldn't speculate because it wouldn't be fair to kick someone just because of my intuition.

Oh they’re not shy about being underage in Gay Chat. They shout out their ages in main and in private, like it’s a badge of honour.

Thats sensible modding. Ask the direct question. If they aay under 13, then redirect them of boot.
The problem arrises if they are an adult pretending to be a,kid. They see yr a,mod and say ..sure im 13.
Do the mods ever log on as a normal user and ask their age. They are more likely to be less defencive if they see u as a,normal user.
Wish u were a mod again.

An issue I am heading to later this year is what happens when I turn 18 and many of my friends who I chat with are 16 and 17 when I do.

Yr age doesnt make u a,P. Nor does talking to people younger. Think about it logically. If that was the case. Every granddad, teacher, sports coach would be a,P.
Its about talking inappropriately to a minor that makes a P.
So u will be fine chatting to yr mates still when u hit 18.

Well unless you’re planning to sexually exploit them, I don’t think speaking to people is an issue.

What planet are you on? You should be on the watchlist for that comment alone. Weirdo.
