Insomnia...

I often suffer from insomnia. My head starts thinking things as soon as it hits the pillow. I can be awake for hours at that makes me more anxious. I started taking sleeping pills, but I'm worried it's not good for my health either.

My sleep is not so bad at the moment. However, I should pass that way, from being hours awake, taking pills, to finally get used to a sleeping schedule.

I don't remember what it is like to sleep normally and have a dream. Because of my neurological disorders I have to use medications to sleep and when they take effect I'm out. Its like turning off your computer and rebooting. I don't get that sensation of time passing.
I don't knowhow long I'd go with out sleep if I didn't take my pimozide and melatonin.

It was really hard but possible. I decided to change my sleeping habits after I started experiencing some of the side effects stated at the Canada Drugs website. It's also not recommended to take meds for a long period of time, so I needed to change sth.

Has she experiences some stress lately? Try to find out the reason. However, older ppl tend to have sleeping problems. My parents were suggested to take vitamin bundles for better sleep. I've read some good reviews here about rest easy vitamins. I'm thinking to buy them maybe. Anyone has experience with such daily sleep and joint supplements?

I'll sleep on it lol (sorry - couldn't resist)

Sometimes eating a heavy meal late at night will boost your energy. Try to eat your dinner or last meal of the day early so you are able to digest. Also drinking some decaffeinated tea or other tea and sleeping herbs such as chamomile tea with no sweeteners will definitely help you sleep.
Turn your computer or television off and get yourself ready to go to sleep. If you think it's something medical please see your doctor.

I know someone who gives me insomnia....they are so mature and oh so 50 shades of grey, a gay and a top.

O ye hath stolen mine heart!

To help insomnia

Eat at set times in the day
Eat foods that are full of high protein high energy (no dead calories)
Only use your room to sleep in(retrain your mind that the bedroom is for sleep, it works)
No caffeine/stimulants after 12pm
Eliminate blue light atleast 1 + hour before bed
Turn all devices off in room (you can listen to relaxing sounds if you feel it’ll help)
Spraying lavender in the air can also help relax and put you to sleep

Continuously do this for a week to reset your body clock and get into a pattern

I’ve had insomnia since 6 👀

But those steps are legit the steps I took when quitting 🍁 to get proper deep rem sleep

It took a bit for the body to reset to the times but it works

Who needs stimulation when you have jiggles right by you?

Fresh Aussie meatballs.

Typical allergy pills will help if you take them an hour before bed. Along with that, I've tried a trick that helps. Lie in your bed, and tense all of your muscles at the same time and hold it for 30 seconds. don't strain yourself or tense too hard, just enough for you to feel it. After 30 seconds, let loose and you should feel comfortable and relaxed enough to sleep. Lmk.

All got from this is “tense all of your muscles at the same time”. Oh. 😉

Some people I knew complained of insomnia. However, some of them found a way out and no longer complain. They said they had tried CBD products. In case you were wondering, they said that at they found some pretty interesting information about such products. Maybe it will help you too.

I tend to just lay there, eventually I'll fall asleep

Could be 15 minutes, could be 3 hours, but it happens

And despite occasionally people saying having white noise kinda stuff helps... personally it makes it worse, just need silence and darkness, eventually the thoughts stop

Or medication, thats works (sometimes)

I haven’t had a good sleep in like 10 years, and it got worse the last 5.

What has worked for me:

-I’m very high energy so I work out twice a day(4am) and at 5pm. And even then sometimes I’m still restless and full of energy.

-take melatonin(doesn’t work on me)

-take zzzquil(works wonders for me) but you might still wake up at 3am(take another zzzquil dose if that happens) only side effect is if you take too much you’ll wake up drowsy feeling like ****

-don’t go to bed early if you go to bed at 10, go to bed at 11-12

-stay off your phone before bed. If I’m on TikTok while I’m bed ima be on the app for like 2 hours and not sleep

-THC gunmies( best and most natural way guaranteed to knock you on your ass)

-I’ve tried hydrocodone a they do the job but not good for you and wake up feeling hung over.

-earplugs for noise canceling and make your room as dark as possible and turn the air conditioner on

-lay off caffeine

-after a while you get used to it. I average 4 hours a night and I can run like a pristine well oiled machine

-I also live a very healthy and active life style so my lack of sleep might not be health related (or maybe)
