A block system that actually works.

For a measley $30, this will eliminate 90% of user to user drama. It will also make the jobs of forum admins like @purplerose @Samwise @Ness_eb much easier.

It uses 2 way blocking technology like the majority of social media.

When you block a user, you also block them from seeing what you post. Something the current block system lacks.

So your saying purple rose is a mod and and admin again? Lol! Smh!

Samwise and ness are in charge off foums. They are the UMS.
 
I am not selling it I am suggesting a plugin with a block feature that actually works. Perhaphs you guys can suggest a free alternative.

I like the idea of that block system. I don’t go on chats anymore (gen chat rarely) but seems like an ok plan. I won’t say who but *cough* owners *cough* are cheapskates, so good luck! 🤣

And what makes you think people are "forced" to block someone. It's completely voluntary like the block button that exists currently.

If one person blocks another person, then the person that was blocked is effectively forced to block back the person that blocked them, no? Isn't that the purpose of your suggested addon?
 
You cease to exist to the blocked people and/or make your posts private. Like any other social media.

Why would you want someone you block to keep viewing and responding to your content?

I’m not paying for ****. Or hitting ignore. Just going keep dumping on these trolls with proper grammar, good punctuation, and a sock so full of wit I could break an anvil with it.
 
I love that in 20 years absolutely nothing has changed.
  1. People still make suggestions that do make sense but get rejected by a large group of people because it's not how it's been.
  2. plugins are suggested, free or pay, and never implemented.
  3. pay plugins are cheap. drop in the hat for the site. that's not the users responsibility
Just reading through some of the stuff in the suggestions forum here and it sounds like the exact same stuff everyone was talking about in the Digichat days.
 
Great to see StubleU back.
It makes sense as to the suggestion. I mean I have Proncessa on ignore, yet I still see her ketchup faces. I think if you put someone on ignore not only should their text not be visible for you , they should also be blocked from seeing anything you type.
The digi days were more fun but a larger headache, anyone remembering the Ecks aka Roach exploit.
 
i think it makes sense that blocking becomes bidirectional. It's literally how everything else online has been doing it for the last 15 years.

remember them? i spent way more time than I should have researching, testing, and writing a lot of those old digichat vulnerabilities...

Oh so you were the one that did the log on and log off one? As a mod it was hard to lock on Roach, After the did away with it. I did talk to Roach aka Ecks but he never told me his secret. I think the only mod that could even lock on to his name was Cat. It is great to see you around. Most around here will not remember instead of Technical forums, we simply had Ask Stuble U.
 
Nah, I wrote the FYU button...the one that let you kick anyone you wanted without mod privilege's...and figured out that if you could convince a mod that you knew their password...that when they went to change their password it was broadcast to all the chat clients...that's how we gained admin access to all those knock off sites that ran pirated copies of Digichat....

but wait!!! no one ever ever did that... the internets been an up and up halo and harps place since 1950. and c/a has been unbreachable since 1998.
 
I remember being terrified when forums got hit with that programme that was used and fkn sponge and Julian sometimes Justin posted dead kids in reps and flooded every single thread with tublady.

And when it tripped a certain detector and said I was on alts with other mods. I **** and shot a pm to cm nearly crying 🤣🤣

Or the stretched arsehole pic. Thinking of it now that was a sign for Hannah dates in future. I should’ve taken note!

it all seems like a fever dream now...like i've been through at least two or three other community apps and sites since then and this is still around...
