Hey, I’m a 16yr and I was in gay chat, I’m sorry I know I shouldn’t have. It threanted police action, and I’m really nervous, I have a really homophobic family and I’m scared that they’ll know about this. I promise to never go back to the site, just, is there anyway that you guys wouldn’t contact the police?

Yeah please don’t do it again. Ink won’t proceed unless you break that promise, please understand the rules of the room are there to help keep you safe and for you to go to a room more appropriate for you. My best advice feel free to join boys chat and teen chat both are age appropriate for you. ONLY come back to the chat when you are old enough which is 18 plus ok

Btw I’m sorry your family feels that way, they should love you regardless for who you are, I hope everything goes well

We have room restrictions for a reason, To protect our young users who visit Chat Avenue. A lot of adult rooms show inappropriate or sexual stuff that you should not see. Kids should not be attempting to enter a room that's 18+. Try and stick to rooms your age limit, Chat Avenue has plenty of rooms within your age range. If you need help looking for a room within your age range I can point you toward some.

Deal. Stay out until you’re 18. I won’t be reporting you anywhere as long as you stick to that deal.

Sorry to hear about your family. Online can be a good way to talk about things but not in an 18+ chat. As others have said above, try Boys Chat, Teen Chat, or Kids Chat - they’re all more age appropriate, or even stick around here on forums
