Is the general chat no longer going to have mods ?

I like general chat.
With this said the last couple of times in there , no mods. One popped in and out today.
When the cat is away the mice will play -
Just wondering if it is going to be unmodded from now on ?? Or am I just coming in at the wrong times??

if one popped in and out then it stands to reason general chat has staffed moderators still.

mods are a voluntary service at chat ave. no one pays them to monitor these rooms and they all use their own computer/phone/tablet and access point. if ones popped in and then back out it MAY be the fact that their real life suddenly intruded.

OIC I thought perhaps the mods were paid for their time. Gotcha

Hello Roadrunner! I know you from the room. Yes we have mods.... I know you were happy to see us remind the room it was a 'clean chat" the other day, so I think as you say its most likely you came at an hour when we had no one. I personally have been in there each morning and evening PST for over a year 5 days a week.. There are another 4 mods I know are there regularly. All of them put in a lot of hours. Two are new as we lost some mods over the holidays, including one long timer who was in the room everyday Mon-Fri in the afternoon PST. Also our room admin is in the room at various times most days but you may not know that as they can opt to be "invisible" to ********. Also we had one mod of the 4 in the hospital the last week. We have an overnight mod -(an Aussie) but she was in a work camp and will have less hours until the end of January, but she isnt one of the 4 I mentioned either. I logged in much later than I normally do a few times, and saw you there, so its more likely you were in the room during a window in between mods.

I hope this helps and to answer your question- You can usually count on mods from about 7 am PST onwards for much of the day and again say from 6pm PST for a good while longer. I think our room admin may be planning to add another late night mod. but you can ask her.... Nice to see you back in the room 🙂
