Is There Such a Thing as a Bad Word?

I was at a fast food joint yesterday after work and this topic came full circle.
There was a girl maybe in her early 20s with her kid at a table and someone I assume to be the girl's mother was there and every other word was the F bomb. With a little kid sitting at the table, another family with their kids at another table (at least this family looked disgusted at the lady's behavior) and we are talking 3-5 year old kids.
And the lady was loud and obnoxious.
Yeah, I don't think this thing should be happening. It is a sign of the times and seems more and more acceptable as modern people want to take less and less responsibility for their actions.
I didn't comment on the topic at first because I couldn't tell if this was specifically aimed at chat or just society in general but it seems to be both.
In a chat room it depends on the age, if the room is 18+ then banned words seem kind of silly, otherwise it makes sense to ban some words. This is kind of common sense.
The insane idiot who was arguing for some pretty sick stuff on TV, I'm surprised he said Texas Chainsaw Massacre should be rated PG. I wonder why he didn't say rated G or that ratings should not exist at all. It shows that he feels a sense of guilt at his own words and knows they are nonsense.
Children don't need to be exposed to violence and other adult content but its nice to know what sick fantasy world some folks live in.
Makes a good warning sign.
On a different topic, I do find it interesting how people think sometimes when it comes to ratings. I had a friend that asked how Zombieland was when the movie first came out (the first one) and then asked if he should take the kids to see it. The kids being 9 and 12 at the time. I said I wasn't sure because it had quite a bit of violence in it and my friend said "they laugh at violence, I mean does it have nudity?"
It struck me as kind of weird that he was more concerned about his kids seeing a breast or butt than seeing people eaten or their heads chopped off, etc...
