Horsey horsey, don't you stop! Just let your feet go clippety clop. Your tail go swish and your wheels go round, Giddy-up we're homeward bound!

Well whoever deleted "Ride a cock horse" could do with some English lessons. It's a NURSERY RHYME and a very old one at that. My mum used to sing it to me when I was a wean and I'm pretty sure my granny used to sing it to her and so on back through the generations. For clarity, a "cock horse" is a hobby horse which used to be a childrens toy. Often a simple pole with a carved horse head on the top. You sat astride the pole and played horsey. Duh!

Also who’d be pathetic enough to report a nursery rhyme

Baa, baa, black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes, sir, yes, sir, three bags full
One for the master, one for the dame
One for the little boy who lives down the lane

You’re telling me. Any word with those 4 letters in has to go into Adult Forums.

I’m off to the sports a-z thread in a min and finding all the shuttlecocks
I’m taking my cocksure peacock into the cockroach infested cockpit and asking my cockeyed pilot to fly me to the beach to look for some cockles. And if any cocky UM wants to remove this, well that’s just poppycock

For staff members you guys are being really weird… js
To be fair it may have something to do with a thread being deleted that had a clear explanation of the meaning of a word. A word that has many meanings other than referring to the male reproductive system as it did in this particular usage case.

I’m still muted from a spam thread which the main directive is to say a message to a user.

lol someone traumatised over a male hen.

Complainer…. reveal yourself!

Wales is a country and Cornwall is a county, @Hannah Faye

Skeggy and Blackpool, interesting choices

What about Yorkshire?
It says it was a county in 1974 but now it's apparently not πŸ€”

I'd call it whatever as long as I can stuff my face on a Yorkie Pud

It's 4 counties now though: North, South, West, and The East Riding.

Have you been up Blackpool Tower?
Yes. My mother has lived in Blackpool since I was 12 years old. She used to take me and my older sister up to Blackpool Tower lots of times and Blackpool pleasure Beach and Blackpool Circus and Blackpool sea life centre and Blackpool ballroom 🀣 the list could go on and on and on 🀣 Happy childhood memories πŸ’–

What about you? Do you have any favourite UK Cities/Towns? And what about your favourite childhood memories? πŸ₯°

I've not been to Blackpool for years. It's the kind of place when you're a kid it's amazing but when I last passed through there it was a sad sight seeing how it had gone downhill. The circus at the tower is always a favourite though and I'd like to go see that again. I loved the rides on the pier when I was a kid.

Cornwall and Scotland are my favourites for exploring and chilling out. London is good but only for a couple of days. I love Wales but it always pisses it down when I go there.

Childhood memories? I think probably the same as you - all about spending time with family in nice places that hold special memories

I agree about Blackpool. Everything looked magical as a child but as an adult it's not as exciting now. Blackpool is on the list of one of the most depressing cities now πŸ˜• it's a shame tbh. And apparently Blackpool has the highest rate of people who suffer from depression and other mental health issues.

Scotland has a beautiful beach ⛱️ πŸŒŠπŸ’™
I saw this beautiful beach with beautiful clear blue water on tik tok and I was shocked when I found out it was in Scotland...no offence. Just didn't think a beach could be so beautiful in a place like Scotland πŸ™„

And Cornwall is beautiful - lots of great childhood memories there as well with my dad and sister.

After all this talk about Cities and holidays....I really want to do some more travelling now πŸ˜ƒ I'm keen on Australia but the thought of seeing a crocodile 🐊 or a tarantula is scary 😨
