lol!! i think your ideal gm motor and mine are different. therefor thread will end up staying open. however it does smell a bit like teen spirit around here...

i enjoy myself a good 3600 but only for 1 4 door reinforced for the shields. the lacrosse is also a fun drive but i would never think of keeping it past 200k.

gosh darn shame 08' came around , they effed around and found out, sadly. wtf would they risk their wards list ranking is beyond me.

last 3 ive bought were 2.3 or 2.0 turbos honda's.
 
the regal was always too boatish for me so was the roadmaster, effing great to ruin because of sheer amount of places to hit that werent me, much like a gm 70-78, but to huge to drive. i loved the way the century sat and rode, engine ran and ran. but its extras were piss poor. whoda thought youd need actual window motors, or alternators it was like it was asking too much. we do still have a 3800 lumina running around the yard she got buck shot last year and we had to do a tank but 501k on it and still fires up 1st turn.

it is true! what did me in was an 09 equinox musta been built by a 1st day temp on a friday right before a 3 day weekend that thing was a POS. vin checking didnt help me at all 😆 . i will never go back unless its pre 99.

I meant the regal that was the same platform as the century (97 to 04) was basically a century with the shifter on the floor and a supercharged 3800 instead of the 3100. I hear ya on the window regulators/motors. Got a 99 sitting in the garage with 3 out of 4 windows that won't go up.
 
engine wise yes, sizewise its got more room, which they market as luxury . for every day driving it makes me feel like im a borrower ( i actually feel like an Indian in a rolling cupboard, but due to reading comprehension, people will jump on me) when i run them i actually put more rolls in my roll cage including behind in the middle and on the floor between the rails not to the frame, cut the seat back off and weld literally at a 90degree so i sit up closer than the og seat allows, sometimes i switch out the seats if shes solid and i know shell go for more than 1. but as always after safety i cut the dang belt down in case i need to get out quick.

- the title is wrong. its not extreme unless your 1) rolled over 2) front end run upped on 3) have a red flag due to fire . it seems what they call extreme is illegal hits. mostly drivers door.
-watch the green 1. its a cadillac with not enough clearance
- volume at 100% only if you want to blow your ear drum.
