Absolutely gutted I’m even writing this.
Yes I know btw, all pms go to @flame_song but this needs to go public.

I’ve reached out to CM too, so I’m hoping this going to be shown and reaching out to CM has some impact.

I’m gutted because when Flame took over lesbian chat, I thought a lot of positive impact was going to come as a result of that.

I’ve been a regular and even modded lesbian chat, back in the day it was always full of regular ******** and now when I pop in, it’s dead.

And now finding out a mod is double logging and not being visible to mod the room, hey, I’m so disappointed.

Come on @flame_song surely you shouldn’t be encouraging this.

Now I know why all the regulars are leaving. It’s just sad seeing it with my own eyes.

 
Well lets see in a room.
We have guests. We have registered users. We have VIP. We have Moderators. We have a chat Admin. We have a program Admin (largely unseen in the background but an unsung hero).
Each plays a role in chat with different powers and abilities on a sliding scale.
What your objecting too is a Mod who logs in twice. One guest account and another in a side room.
Who uses the guest to view main and the Mod account to kick out those that need it from main?
Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging to do this?

We have VIP members who abuse the position, some with hundreds of kicks, some who buy VIP for trouble makers?
Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging?
We have registered users with multiple accounts used to evade kicks, some set up to defraud ********? Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging?
We have guests who when under the warn mute kick get warned only to leave and come back with a new name? A stream of guest males who harrass and demand sex in PM? A stream of guest bots posting over and over links to child porn. Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging?
We have a continuous stream of Advertising Bots who learn from kicks to change and avoid auto Kicks and who dont apear in the room lists? Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging?

Managing Chat is a challenge. Did I know about the double logging, Yes its a way of catching some of the worst offenders who think no mod is around and also when I am not around. I often remain invisble to catch them too. I am often in the room daily. I see things in chat that others do not. There is only one of me. Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging?

Regulars do not remain in chat forever. Of the people who started in chat with me after 11 years only one remains to be seen sporadically.
Chat churns rooms never remain static. Yet your disappointed in a Mod double logging?

I would say in the grand scheeme of things there is a lot of things wrong with chat in which Moderators do an unpaid and difficult job in.
If a mod cannot be trusted who can?
