Links in posts

This is a comment so on topic to the forum.

In case anyone was wondering, links are indeed allowed in your posts (despite the rules) as long as they are on topic to the thread itself. @H.R. PufnStuf told me himself when he denied my report of his post and I got this response

So the next time you need to link something because your heart is telling you that's it's just something you need to do...as many as they might be...as long as they're somehow vaguely in context to the topic...even if it's tangentially related...then you're in the clear.

I'm glad he was able to clear that up for me so I wouldn't have to ask @Chatmaster about it.

Also bring back the public visibility of whom it was edited by! That way they can’t hide behind their bullshit moderation and not be reprimanded like we all are.

Edit: to add- and the option to view comparison of manipulated edits.

this is a software issue. the last one didnt allow user name to be inputted during edit either. if i knew a certain user had questions about it id always include my name at the end of the post. im sure if hed move away from plain layout there would be some sort of add on.

Yes I would assume most competent ums would do that if only they led by your example 🤫

The very rare times (!) I’ve been edited 90% time haven’t had a notification reason but do wish there was an option that was mandatory as to why the edit. But even then that could be bs also with no option to compare.

i was edited yesterday, not only did they include to many asterisks. i never got a message. there used to be a tic box that said notify user. its a basic form letter/pm and it sent from the mods pm box.

nvm that just did some checking. Seems banning StubleU and hammering the asterisk button and contradicting rules takes precedence before protecting our younger users and enforcing kids/teen chat rules because our lovely resident brifhties posts are still there and I’ve reported numerous times.

do as he says or face Mjolnir

for referenced back story: some of bacs posts were left in those forums as proof to cm, even though he can read what once was, because some of us got asschewed for deleting over age user in an underage forum.

So apparently they're not allowed or @H.R. PufnStuf is just a hypocrite. The post that I was banned for was deleted as evidence...but originally i was banned for having a phone number in my reply to a Yes/No question...a phone number that actually had AREACODE instead of the area code...to a virtual number that I owned more than 5 years ago...so contextually that didn't make sense to ban me for...but when i posted a screenshot of that on one of my sites...less than ten minutes later it said due to having a website in my post...which...was the provider of the number i'd given...Twilio...so contextually applicable to the post...and not a promotion for my own site

make it make sense.

@StubleU
If you are talking about HR it will nevre make sense. He feels threatened by you. You have to remember he is from the backwoods in Canada and uses a land line with a dialer for internet.

that dialup won't help the speeds for his vpn
Yea, but I know he uses A.I. for some of his responses. I guess this helps out with those oh too drunk days.
If you try to make a helpful suggestion he gets triggered. I mean to be honest the guy is the only one I ever known to take chat avenue that seriously. It is as it was his whole life.
