Lost music

1. I use linux/ubuntu so the windows file recovery may not work.

2. There is nothing in my laptop's trash folder (so not able to simply use the 'undo' button)

3. I can't control Z because of the mouse double tap (the 'delete project' option is underneath the 'move project folder' option) so when I DT'ed it, i selected that on the 1st tap & then the confirmed option on 2nd tap.

4. I've tried looking in the folders where I all the shows save to, but I don't see anything there. I'm hoping that maybe the project folder is still sitting in my tmp/usr or some other folder where the program stores edits; Any thoughts please?

5. Does the software itself not have a 'recycle bin' of sorts where files/folders/etc are kept till the program is closed & ongoing work is cleared out?

I had a similar situation few months ago and found a lot of great tips in the article on how to recover deleted audio files and step by step instructions how to use recovery software. From that moment i do the backup of all my files of course, cause that was very and very stressful situation.

Get some recovery/undelete software and install it on a pen drive. Run it against the affected drive from the pen drive. Avoid writing any data to the drive with the deleted files untill you've recovered them otherwise you could overwrite the deleted stuff by accident. Recuva is free and pretty good.

Your audio files may be in the trash if they were recently erased, and you can recover them from there. Use a data recovery app: Both Android and iOS devices can be equipped with a variety of data recovery applications. DiskDigger, Dr. Fone, and iMobie PhoneRescue are a few well-known ones.
