Make Girls Chat Even Greater

unfortunately that just means taking the path that leads to the least work, regardless of the crimes commited by the user

So another friend just left chat because they are fed up with the ongoing issues. Its inspired me to write something on the topic of keeping good ******** that I have been thinking about for a long time. Some of my ideas are based in my chat experience and things I have been told/taught by others.

The obvious answers are good mods rules and processes. Our mods are doing a great job with the tools they have been given. We as ******** just cant rely on them though. We need to assist them. One thing we can do for them is use our reports wisely. I try to save my reports for the worst of the worst registered ********. There's no point reporting a spammer or even a pervy guest. Our mods know who the regular bad guests. By reporting the worst of the registered users our mod staff can build a recorded on these ******** who will eventually get banned. Take screen shots when you can and pass the onto a mod to action.

There is way more we can do. I believe that we can make our room better and retain more people wont happen just by dealing with the arses. I really believe we need to support and help each other. To build up the good ********. How can we do this?

  1. Say hi when people come in. Its a pretty simple thing to do. If you see someone is new welcome them to chat. Everyone likes to feel they can be part of something and just a basic welcome goes along way to make people feel like they can have friends here.
  2. If I see one of our more shy ******** be harassed in any way I private message them to make sure they are OK. It doesn't mean we are going to get into a long winded chat or become friends. But what it does is it lets them know we care. That we want to make sure they feel like we are looking out for them, which we should be.
  3. I'm not one for seeking our to attack pervs etc, It doesn't have any good long term affect to do so. But if I see someone get attacked by a troll or perv. I will speak up for them if no mod is about. You have to be very nuanced about this and take each case as it happens.
  4. One thing a bunch of us do is watch known pervs who they try and interact with. We check a new persons friends list and let them know the issues with such people that have friended them. Its not always welcome but the genuine nice ******** will appreciate it.
  5. Not everyone is good at this next one, but its worth having a go. Join in the fun banter in chat. Try and keep things as light hearted as you can at any given moment. When there's a troll or perv carrying on in chat turn them into a running joke. You reduce the power for these arses to ruin the chat experience when you do. Sometimes its way better to what us Aussies and British people call take the piss than to out and out attack. Some of us have regular jokes and gifs for our regular arses that creates mirth. I know its hard for some, but even a well placed gif can ease tensions. I've watched our shyest members do the gif thing.
  6. Help new people to join in. Talk to them in main. Involve them in fun. Yes you will get arses with some new ones but some are potential great ********. To often we can seem clicky and I think its out of fear of oh is this another arse. Its worth the risk.
Sorry for the wall of text. This is just a few thoughts and I am sure you guys will add to the list, and call out the trolls who will try to side track us.

At the end of the day its up to us the ordinary chatter to make things fun safe and strong. We have the power to do these things. We do pretty well most of the time but there is clearly room to improve. We really want to keep as many good ******** as we can.
Great ideas, it is very easy to be negative and find fault but the intent of the room is a community which should be fun, all the trolls are just white noise really and we should just remind people to ignore and keep chatting. We need to keep good ******** and to support each other.
