Why is this? because most people don't know about science - that's why.

the same research how I base why most christians dont know about the bible, science and God followers are both religions, they both claim to be looking for the truth, both are against each other, and are basically opposites at best, and not everyone who proclaims who they are, are what they say they are, just because they believe in something like science or religion doesnt make them automatically all of a sudden know what science is and what its about. Someone can believe in science for 1 year and still barely know anything about it 5 years down the road. Just the same goes to religious people. Its because people dont care what they believe in as long as its to their liking and fits them as a human being

However, as stated above most religious people don't understand what they are worshiping. I believe the term Athiest is more of a description related to hightened awareness both personal and of one's surroundings. Therfore affirming the fact that they prefer to live life in FACT rather than fiction.

science and religion are not mutally exclusive by any means. Richard Dawkins the biologist was instrumental in reviving sceince vs religion by his evolution vs creation argument in the "god delusion"

Id like to suggest Professor of Mathmatics John Lennox, ( oxford scholar holding a few degrees. ) hes also Christian, and an apologist. He speaks on many things relating to religion, science ethics and philosophy, and he too does challenge the idea life sprang up out of the primordial ooze singing and dancing and morphing into various life forms, or we are the random by product of "mindless matter"

I found his discussions of math interesting, as he quotes giants in the field who did equations to to prove there isnt/wasnt enough time for evolution to to be the explanation for the origin of species, and that life randomly appearing on earth is a statistical impossibility. But waht is interesting is he has argued that science and religion are not always opposing forces in the quest for understanding.

why is it so impossible to consider that maybe god did create life, then by design life began taking shape, & evolving on its own???

genetic code is exactly that babes, code, a biological language that shapes life, & continues adapting life to all kinds of different environmental factors…

if life was totally random, then how did the orchid mantis’ dna determine that if it looks like an orchid flower, & even sways like a flower would in the wind its odds of survival increase???

even going as far that as adults, when they reach the end of their lifecycle they start to brown & appear as if withered flowers, how does that happen? random number generators? i dont think so 🙈🙉🙊

something gave life the building blocks necessary to become life as we know it today…

So I know a lot of people will jump on me, thinking of moo moo , But there is no evidence in afterlife. I know there are people who have almost died and brought back and people say they saw their grannie or old dog Puffer but that is simply brain activity. The brain will be active up until the moment life ceases. Then you turn to bones and then dust.
People want to believe in god and heaven and Santa and all of those things because they can not handle that their existence is random. We are animals, more intelligent (this can be debated, I mean there are some pretty stupid people here- and one even made UM.) than other animals but animals all the same. You will not be remembered 20 after your death unless you done something newsworthy.

"there is no god" is an assertion only an Atheist would make.

Atheism is dividided into two categories, weak and strong atheism.
While weak atheism simply acknowledges a lack of belief in any God(s), Strong atheism ASSERTS that there is no God(s).

From stubleus comment we can ASSERT he is a strong atheist.

Strong atheism, is a belief system that argues against the existance of god(s).
A belief requires a degree of faith, even in the absense of proof
Hes using the priniciples of his own belief system to deny anothers belief system with the same principles.
