[suggestion]
Would it be too much trouble to ask for ADMINS/MODS to acknowledge response to their PMS?
Not asking for updates on what course of action the admin/mods decide to take. Just acknowledgement that they have taken action to your issues.

Often times no response is given and users can not now whether their message has been read and issues already looked into or whether the message has not been read at all. So the user does not now if they should re-address the issue with them or not.

It doesnt cost anything to be transparent. thank you

it's not a prerequisite or a requirement from volunteer Room Moderators or Room Admins to respond to every Private Message

I'm not asking if it is I'm suggesting that it should be. Because picking and choosing who you want to respond or when you want to respond means there is no standard.

first standards comes from @Chatmaster and from there the Room Admins and their staff.

It’s up to each individual Room Admin to take up your suggestion and to actualise it unless it’s set out by CM account.

Your suggestion will not be upheld by any current Room Admin.
 
You’re someone who has caused TONS of trouble in multiple chat rooms, in addition to the forums, so much so that you were banned. Inexplicably, you were given a second chance.
If you ever pm’ed me (don’t) I probably wouldn’t respond to you because 1. I don’t trust you and 2. you’ve burned that bridge with your previous actions. You can pretend to be polite and care about this site but anyone who knows you knows it’s a facade.

Obviously you are free to make suggestions but any kind of edict from chatmaster requiring all admins/mods to respond to ALL pm’s (ridiculous) has to come from chatmaster so wait patiently for their reply.

Bread - doesn’t look like you have many people who like you here.

P.S - can I just put it out there for all Room Admins and their Mods, if the behaviour of a person, on repeat, gets put against them, it’s not helpful.

Forgive me but if there’s no ********, there’s no Chat.

All this talk about second chances causes all staff to look like idiots when there’s barely 20 people on these forums that are NOT staff members.

You are all staff members because there’s a requirement to have them at whatever level, for each and every room - nothing more, nothing less.

The only exception to any of this is site hacking, or any illegal activity (with very significant evidence that is).

i have always been advocating for the improvement and safety of this site. I only reacted with the same energy that was given to me.
Go back and read the threads before purplerose and the mods of the chatrooms colluded to bully me for trying to have discussions in a discussion forum.

Also over 3 years ive basically stick to only 1 room VGC so idk where youre getting this info of causing TONS of trouble over multiple rooms. I did vist CC for a couple months and the only trouble i caused there was from meeting a racist leftist woman who is upset she got unfriended. Any other rooms ive visited only very briefly to scope but never caused trouble. You can check my ip for proof.

Ive only registed an account in lesbian chat to talk to october for like 2 or 3 weeks and the college acct for maybe 2 or 3 months and 3 years of vgc. Only recently i register an account in dating chat but i dont even go there cuz patman is there and hes annoying.

yes this is my understanding i dont want to keep bugging but when i see people coming in and out of the room or forums and my pm still unread well it makes me think theyre not busy and just dont want to respond or address the issue which is what the mods are here for. To volunteer their time to moderate but picking and choosing who they want to help is not genuine and so if they do that what is even the point of having mods.

Like when you go volunteer your time at a soup house do you pick and choose who you want to give the soup to? or do you give soup to everyone fairly

bread can be down right annoying, argumentative, petty and trolly. but ive pmd with him before over mod related/site related issues and he lays out his issues in an organized manner. if alerted to an avenue of solution he will take it. refusing to pm with others shows pre determined bias.

on the op topic. the old version had it and cm disabled it. because there were many ( probably named bread the 1st bread the 2nd bread the 3rd) that would kick up a fuss every time and make threads that went something like this :

op user: "cm read my thread, i got the pm confirmation, why hasnt he done anything. i want something done. wah wah wah wah im going to flodd forums the room and the internet until im paid some attention"

4 post later

@Screem : " i have the wahhh bulance on speed dial, would you like me to call for you"

op user: "you all hate me wahhhhhh nothings done on this site wahhhhh wahhhh wahhhh im leaving forever"

12 hrs later....

op user posts in Test forum....


so the likelyhood cm would re enable confirmation or make admins/mods do it is close to a negative number.

Thank u for admitting choosing who to respond to shows bias.

I want you all to remember that you guys are the ones volunteering to fill these positions and nobody is forcing you to deal with nuissance "users" who you do not want to make contact with. If you are tired of dealing with people then the best thing to do is simply step down and become a regular user. Many moderators have made comments like "if chat is affecting u that much log off and go outside". Yet they do not apply the same principles when they react with emotions rather than standards. Why? Because they know what they are doing because they know they have the power to do it. When moderators start to show bias such as the one @purplerose indicated above then it just creates a toxic environment and the community as a whole suffers from it.

Maybe you guys can look into @LostCause method of how to interact with users. She has never once failed to respond back to a pm even after 3 days of being inactive or reapeated "waaahs" from me. She has disagreed with some of my complaints as well as agreed with them. Yet the thing that remained consistent is she always responded. She has always remained professional. Ive had zero complaints on wahh threads against her even when we outright disagreed. So this is not an issue of creating wahh threads because "things dont go my way" its an issue of not being left in the dark and remaining transparent and professional.

All ive ever asked for is fairness.
