Nine Inch Nails ~ Hurt (Cover by: Johnny Cash)

An amazingly haunting rendition from Johnny Cash as it seems to almost link to his wife's death. Sang with so much emotion (with accompanying video) that you can feel the hurt of Jonny's broken heart. Sadly, he past shortly after recording this cover which possibly might as well been from his aching heart.

"What have I become my sweetest friend?
Everyone I know goes away in the end"

Love Berlin's album "Pleasure Victim" which has this track on it.

The Bass Player from Kajagoogoo, Aimee Mann formed her own band I enjoy called: "'Til Tuesday" The song
"Voices Carry" and "Love in a Vacuum" I think was their most popular.
Nick Beggs has always been the bass player for Kajagoogoo (An all male band). You must be thinking of another band. I absolutely love that track, "Love In A Vacuum", though.

My list for today:

"The One Thing" by INXS (1982)
"Love Is A Stranger" by Eurythmics (1983)
"Adult Education" by Daryl Hall & John Oates (1984)
"Notorious" by Duran Duran (1986)
"Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?" by Culture Club (1982)

Oh my, after having to research this, I do stand corrected and now cannot think what Bass Player and Band I was thinking of. I love music trivia and usually pretty good at it. However, now embarrassed for misinforming you! 😊 Reading about Amiee Mann, I found out she was with the group “The Young Snakes” which I'm not familiar with and don’t think they had any hits, but I could be wrong again about that.

Thank you for clarifying me and once again a nice play list you offer! ♥️

You're most welcome. I'm a major music geek and fanatic. I'm pretty good with the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, too (Around 1975 till about 2005). The Young Snakes were a Punk Rock group that was short lived. No hits at all. Don't be embarrassed, either. We're all human, even with music. 🙂

Current Playlist:

"If Anyone Falls" by Stevie Nicks (1983)
"Flesh For Fantasy" by Billy Idol (1984)
"Tunnel Of Love" by Bruce Springsteen (1987)
"Vogue" by Madonna (1990)
"That's The Way It Is" by Celine Dion (1996).

t.A.T.u. ~ 220
Translated to: "You don't understand when you're sleeping, if it's love"

If you do not understand what they are singing, you'll find the song rather enjoyable and fun video as well!

My favourite single of the 2000's is "All The Things She Said" by t.A.T.u. (2002). Brilliant instrumentation.

Yes! I would say that is probably their most well known song and a good one at that. “Null and Void” is one of my favorites with that continuing, slow driving beat and high singing range.
