Me I built mine about a year ago right after the GPU market finally settled in.

It's an Asus x570 tuf wifi mainboard
4 dimms of mushkin 3200 tuned memory
A Corsair rm800w power supply I think lol
CPU is 5800x3D
GPU is 6700xt
1tb ssd dual booting windows 11 and 10

I have a 7900xt but it's noticeably more stuttery than the 6700xt so I took it out. Gameplay feels decent for AMD hardware but I wish I would have went Nvidia for Nvidia reflex.

When I'm not on my pc. I have the option of ps5, ps4 ,ps3 ps2 and ps1, also wii, wii u, switch and all the xbox's a gamecube and finally Nintendo ds.

I built a video editing/gaming pc in 2023 that I still need to bring to where I live now. It’s an ASUS TUF b550 gaming 2 with an AMD r9 5900X Power Color Fighter RX6700XT guy, 32 GB DDR4 at 3200, big ass air cooler in a Lian Li Lancool 2 mesh case. Only have a 750 watt psi though.
 
What DO I have?

The meat of the system - Ryzen 9 5900X (I don't think it's a 5950 - I think I wanted that one but couldn't justify the cost at the time), 16GB DDR4 RAM with ✨RGB ✨, a 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD and a 1TB NVME SSD. Most of the brands I'm completely unaware of, I think the RAM is Corsair - I know the case is an NZXT, and I believe I bought Noctua fans. The GPU is an RTX 3060 iirc, again I'm unaware of the brand.

I'm not a huge gamer, so I'm not super on-top of the most performant parts - I'm a programmer, the only reason I have the RTX is for AI stuffs (that and I'm hoping to catch Borderlands 4, which will probably require a decent GPU)

I mean... to be honest, I never hated consoles. I own an Xbox, I just don't use it. For me, when I do game, I prefer the feel of the keyboard and mouse - sometimes I'll grab my Stadia controller (RIP) and sync it to my PC to play some games, but my computer links to my TV anyway... so all the benefit of a console isn't something I really use.

That being said, I think if you can afford a Playstation 5, you can probably afford to buy a PC with reasonable specs, and you have a lot more freedom with PC gaming - you're not locked into one ecosystem, you can get the free games on Epic Games that you'll never play, pay for games you don't own on Steam, wrestle with the EA app and the Rockstar launcher for 30 minutes over a forgotten password, plus you can use mod loaders for games that don't officially support mods - all around, a lot more freedom.

But, if you're a simple person with simple needs, sometimes a controller and a couch is all you want... and that's okay.
