Pets wearing clothes

My mom's dog has more clothes than I do... especially Christmas stuff.. our Daschunds have Mr & Mrs Clause outfits.. :/

stupid unless its for a small dog wearing a sweater which my Grandparents had

Granted I don't go dressing my dog up on a day to day basis....but I am guilty of doing it..for halloween.
I bought my pup a superman costume...so imagine a lab head sticking out of the window with his cape flapping in the air...it was hilarious!

Now if it was on a day to day
thing..I wouldn't but if it was for fun like on halloween I'm all about it.😀

I'll admit my two dogs have a few halloween costumes  and they also each have a jacket 😀 I see no problem with it.

I have a Whippet, he has a special coat that he must wear in the winter when he goes outside for more than just a few moments to relieve himself, to keep him warm and it works well.

My Cairn Terrier is a freeze-baby, so he wears sweaters and coats throughout fall and winter.

If the dog doesn't mind being "tortured" with being dressed up, then I see no problem. If the dog is not of your own, then I don't think it's anyone's business or right to say whether or not dressing animals up is "wrong". If the dog is happy and comfortable, like my Cairn is, then great; but if not, then the owner should take the animal's comfort into consideration over using it as a dress-up toy.

My precious little dog gets cold easily and will usually be shivering before me, (which is weird considering how much fur she has) therefore, I normally put sweaters on her in the winter. That's for warmth and not to 'dress' her up.

Additionally, we have really hot summer and we've been told the sidewalk will burn her pads so we put little booties on her when we walk her along the beach on the sidewalk.

I think animals wearing clothes is stupid. They have fur and their temperature requirements are different then humans. So putting clothes on dogs or cats especially in the summer time is not smart they will get to hot and if its too cold for them bring them inside.

To be honest, I think pets look incredibly ridiculous when they are wearing clothes. Halloween pet costume are sort of cute though.

While some pet animals appreciate the warmth of a sweater or the attention that comes from wearing a novelty costume, many animals resist so much as a collar. Dogs and horses seem to tolerate their gear wear. The cats I've known have either been ambivalent or nudists. Few other animals wear anything.
