I submitted a data deletion request through the contact form and nothing happened after like a month or two

Please delete this forums account or link me to somewhere where action will actually be taken

I think that you would be better off just not returning to chat forums..or creating a new account..some inactive accounts have been here for decades..

Yes, but I’ve just started streaming and recently became a Twitch Affiliate. And I do not want any content that I might've posted as a stupid immature kid being out there and potentially affecting my streaming career. That’s why I requested for all data associated with this account to be permanently deleted.

As stated in the GDPR Civ. Code § 1798.105 which gives me the right to request deletion of all my personal information and have filled out a data deletion request on the Feedback forum as outlined in site's privacy policy.

You can't permanently erase what you do online. That's why it's important to pick and choice what you do wisely. If somebody wanted to they can find everything you've done om the internet. It's best to stay off the internet as a whole if you don't want stuff being known.

I hope your situation gets resolved soon, as well as that other folks.

I strongly agree with you..and it's unlikely chat forums will affect her streaming career..in fact, after a while..most people will forget she was even here..

I always thought you were americano. 🇺🇸

That's confusing. GDPR is a European directive. The civil code thing seems to be an entirely separate piece of legislation in California.
Yea I’m reading about it now. GDRP isn’t apart of the cali things title. That is strictly Europe. His thing is CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT OF 2018 (CCPA)

What I’m wondering if it applies to social media/networking sites.

It’s mostly saying it only applies to businesses.

So I found more info and chat avenue does not fall under the requirements to abide by ccpa.

@Chatmaster
Well he still has to delete mine

I live in Europe and he is required to follow GDPR if it is giving access to ppl in my country and that means the site has to abide by the laws otherwise it has to block European people

The owner of the site has taken over 2 months and still hasnt responded or deleted my accounts so this site is currently breaking the law and can technically be fined if i were to report them to the DPA

If I directed any of what I was saying about summer to you I would have tagged you.

chat Avenue been around since the 90’s with many UK members. They are well aware of guidelines.

Instead of getting all twisted up send a simple reminder message checking on the status of your deletion. Haha.

@p_Louie sorry I typed that distracted and read it again. Sounded more dismissive than I intended lol.

Still stands that yes they’ve been around forever and now what they need to do.

Cm is very busy and instead of getting all wound up you could easily send a reminder email. No harm in reaching back out.

They’ll get ya sorted.
