Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

I tell ya, as a lifelong Catholic, the versus yall find, is pretty fucking funny, because they are legit in the bible, YET, ya never hear it read during any mass, for any reason whatsoever. Still, occasionally on rare occasions, we do get a reading from Revelations because why not.

I really wish the old Catholic Answers Forum was still operating, because it would be hilarious to see how the armchair popes, priests, bishops, theologians and apologetics try to piss out an answer that makes sense to everyone without resorting to saying " the message is spiritual" or some other nonsense along those lines, to which eventually one of them would decry anyone who calls bullshit as a blasphemer or heretic for simply disagreeing with them.

And not for nothing, but every sentence in the Roman Catholic Bible has been scrutinized, debated, examined, and has had Popes, Scholars, etc give the best possible answer as to why something was written down and put into scripture or is(or is not) an allegory.
What isn't considered is who has the right to tell others what scripture really means, other than saying "This is my opinion based on what I have learned " Which the RCC, or any organized religion, will never do. They can't. Not because they have a right, but because they have a need to keep their self-perceived power.

In turn, each religion has burned, destroyed, or hidden, anything they disagree with or may lean toward their viewpoints being wrong, or threatening their " power ". Each religion of course welcomes opinions as long as it is in line with what is agreed upon or if disagreed upon the person with the disagreed opinion must agree to why they are wrong or be damned.

This is why again Catholic Answers Forum was so much fun, common sense was not allowed there and in any religion, common sense really is not allowed.

So in Genisis there is a verse about some guy who for what ever reason was banging his sisters' wife, either his brother died and he took over as husband so culturally she wasn't seen as a ho or who knows doesn't matter, thing is he didn't want to get her pregnant for what ever reason he had, so he is like well wtf guess I'll just let it go on the ground.

Makes sense for normal people, but, the " spiritual reason for not wasting your sperm " is now semen is super special, and doing that is " masturbatory ".

BUT according to the church, Natural Family Planning is perfectly fine and not a loop hole because it is a natural process.

the dribble and double talk goes on an on an on an on, only religious morons who have achieved the level of scholar, or theologian can manage to talk out of both holes at the same time and pretend it makes perfect sense. Not just in the Catholic religion, but really all of em.

anyone's real best bet, is to just educate ones self, get the " official explanation " from a scholar or theologian, but don't be afraid to form your own opinion on what any scripture really means, answers are not a one size fits all when it comes to religious scripture.

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:18

If the anger of the ruler rises against you, do not leave your place, for calmness will lay great offenses to rest.

Ecclesiastes 10:4
