Question about ' banned ' forum users

Just quick question reference users on Chat Av Forum ,if a user has ' Banned ' under there name on here .Does this mean they are currently banned from this site ? as it's a little confusing since I've seen people with this banned under there name, still posting ,so the ban appears to be ineffective when they are using the same account to post .

Yes, normally when you see banned under their name it’s because they’ve been banned by forum staff. Some people may put banned on their profile trying to be funny.
 
If they have "Banned" under their name, they've been banned by a UM. I'll note that users cannot edit their own forums titles, so it can't be put in that specific location as a prank. You're probably seeing the posts of users that were made before the ban was put in place. Once a user is banned, it'll show under their name on all past posts as well.
 
The status under the forums users name can be editted by the Forum Admun or UM, it can also be editted by themselves if they are a VIP user.

I believe the UMs add 'Banned' sometimes as a reminder or a tracker to review their ban.

Just an FYI, there are A LOT of things here that don't makes sense, and a lot of contradictions.
 
If you want your forums account edited-and need help? ask any UM - if they can't/wont? Then message @Chatmaster directly who can do anything he see's fit. You can edit your own forums name periodically if you purchase forums VIP.

Custom "titles" have to go through the Chatmaster. The reason a user still has "banned"? is because they are, or were- and a UM /Chatmaster has yet to remove it.
