Quiz Room Issues

As some of you may or may not know, I was the Moderator in quiz room, shortly before the new layout took effect. I volunteered to be the mod in there due to the increasing problem with a perma-banned user that skirts the bans one way or another to come into the room and post disgusting comments about quizzers and staff.

In the week that I was on vacation, I was demoted (without an explanation until I asked) to room moderator. The troll has continued his antics and now I can only hand out a paltry 15 minute mute and inconvenience a mod to take action rather than being able to do it myself.

With that being said, I would like to suggest the quiz room be switched to Users Only so this might curb his efforts.

Quiz Room is boring try going to main
 
It was briefly Users Only during one of Sang and Khan’s rampages last year and was much better. I second this notion.

The downturn of the quiz room I wrote a quiz for has sucked to see. Despite what trolls say, it was a very fun room to be apart of for a time. I miss it. And a banned user shouldn’t be able to ruin a room.

Guest accounts lose their points each day anyway.

If the non-Khan guest user who plays everyday wants to keep playing, he can register for the third time and leave his account at 500k, which he has done both times with his other accounts.

This is exactly why I suggested it. A couple of our usual friends have said that if the room gets switched to user only it will kill the room. But we wont know that for sure until we try. Because nothing else seems to be helping at this time
 
Hello, this kind of feels like “punishing” innocent people for the behavior of one bad apple. I agree your suggestion is one solution that might work but could there be other ones that wouldn’t exclude people? I know you feel like it’s inconveniencing the moderator when you report this person, but it’s really not. It’s part of their responsibilities to handle people like this. They could just max kick them and keep max kicking them every time they act up.
Maybe other people can come up with creative ideas to deal with this person.

It’s been quite awhile now and there’s been no solution to keep Khan out. He’s banned but evades using a VPN or Internet cafes. If there are no mods on, or BronxBomber, he’s free to spew his filth and vitriol by using a guest account.

We had two mods, but they were taken away. So now what?

In my opinion, the experience of guests should never be given precedence over registered Users.

Other sites don’t let guests in the quiz room. And sadly, a lot of our quiz peeps are now over there. I wonder why?

ha, well back when we had a good solid quiz group I used to run my own live quizzes that I wrote in my locked side room. They were a lot of fun and Rapi won two in a row. But since one of the main members of that group just deleted today, and others have stopped coming or are only here sporadically at this point, I doubt we can get enough people online at one time for a full quiz to do another one.

Also, time zones are a bitch.
