geeze, been following an off not here post of someone pissed because they got a bank loan to pay of 55k in credit card debt and one of their cards cut their line of credit to almost 0. and here i am sweating bullets when i have to give my visa out to secure a vacation hotel.

I have a passport. No need for it though. You don't need it to travel even between Canada Mexico and PR. They won't even stamp it even if you bring it. Never got Jr his. He'll have to do that some day. Half the time I never even fly.

Want to see volcanos? Hit up Hawaii , want white sand beaches ? Hit up Florida. Want to gamble your savings away? hit up Nevada. Want to see snow in July? Go to Colorado. Want to hit up historical route 66 or follow robber Jesse James? Missouri is your state. Want to learn about native Americans?! Arizonas it. Want to party like it 1999?! Again Florida but a different part. Hell if your into aliens, New Mexico. Witches?! Massachusetts.

Rumor has it more than half of us have never crossed state lines.

We priced up Hawaii and at a tag of over £18K thought again. I was pulling your leg hence my tiny comment. I would love to go to Vegas just to say ive been , but my USA adventure would stop there.

Hawaii is nice. unless you live here, dont fly direct. most of the east coast cant fly direct anyway. fly from CA to HI then HI back to CA. once you do that dont take a large bird take a smaller plane. mainly manned by cheap airlines like spirit. they not only land better/on time than the 747s . theres more choices of flights/times. you trade off smaller seats most likely packed planes. but its a trade off for around $200 a ticket. also if you arent resort people dont stay at a resort. they are nice and i love them at certain times but if your types to leave daily all day, eat all your meals out look for a Holiday Inn.

vegas is pretty easy. but its a lot of connections depending on your airline. the easiest is the midwest. from there they have non stop to vegas. international would be easy to fly into Chicago or Detroit then a non stop to vegas. although "no frills" and you have to pay for your seat at booking ( you dont unless your hardcore about it) we take allegiant a lot when we fly. most of their flights are non stop we usually use the deals $70 one way. after you book if you dont book baggage they usually email you 5-7 days later with a coupon for like 40-50% off baggage.


EDIT: no it did not take me an hour to compose this. i was in the middle of it and then BAM! realized i forgot to put the bins at the street. what reminded me you ask? hearing the trash truck cruisin' the street. so i ditched this and hurry upped and did the adult walk o shame. threw on my crocs and overcoat over my pjs and ran outside to bring the bins to the front. neighbors be damned!

Speaking of places to visit. Cache Valley and bear lake in the top of Utah is a gorgeous area. If I were smart enough to post pics on here I would. B e a utiful up that way.

Which part of Missouri? I went to college northeast part of Missouri. Best 4 years of my life but due mainly to partying and you know college stuff. However miserable place to live while not having fun. Only tornado I have ever seen live in person was in Missouri.

little itty bitty nothing off I44. I thought I was gonna love the Ozarks and the lakes and land. after a year of begging and planning we went for a weekend and I swear we walked straight into a clan meeting. hadve been THE WORST weekend getaway ever.

went through 3. 1 took my rental trailer right away. only one that was smart enough to have renters insurance though. even now say that that policy was best $54 I've ever spent.

😢 I miss fried okra. oh Lord I've tried but it just doesn't taste the same.

Traumatised myself as well because I don’t know whether I’m right or wrong for picturing you with the balls of Thelma and Louise and smoking a spliff putting the world to rights because of join ngl. 🤣

Your welcome to join my circle. We spend a lot of time around my fire pit. There's lots of now teens hanging in the basement raging over call of duty. There's other younger adults in the other part of my basement attempting to make music or otherwise effing around. Last weekend they bashed the sliding door off it's track while two of them re enacted the "tis but a scratch " scene from Monty Python. While we adults sit around b1tching like undercover Karen's, about anything sometimes drinking boxed wine because it was that kind of week.

Lol Missouri is not what your dreaming of. But if you want to go we can.

In Utah? A full day and overnight. The pictures I took look like AI made them. It’s honestly such an experience.

Yellowstone is tomorrow.

Long story short: I left last Friday and pulled a “Thelma and Louise” like @-Luka referenced 😅. Hitting all the states in the upper route on the way home, though.

And to think - the only decisions I’ve made the entire time was to rent a car, and pick a direction to drive in.

I just got in and drove.

Legit most freeing decision I’ve ever made.

While you are in Yellowstone about 200 miles from me. The most entertaining thing you might see are the people who think a 1000 Bison would cool to take a selfie with. And or put ther child on its back, I mean Montana is a petting zoo.

Grand Prismatic is a must see. One of the most beautiful places in the park.

The Elk are beautiful and friendly, from 50 yards away, there are they second most Selfie darw.

Since I don't know how outdoors you are, in all the shops they sell Bear bells.
The bears love them, it tells them where the next meal is.

If you plan to go to Glacier let me know the web page isn't always updated on the going to the sun drive, but we have the Backcountry direct number and I can tell you how far up it is open.

Enjoy the state.

Tell him it's cheaper than Hawaii?! If you convince him. Plan your shelter stops in advance and confirm by direct calling the day before. Only natives can hop in a car and go. Because we KNOW there's something on the other side. ( Smart ones also pack pup tents, would never suggest that to an international traveler though) Some of these places make you think there's not.

Also I think everyone needs to experience an American road trip. The best part of it is you can start and stop whenever. Get 2 states over and found the best hotel best restaurants and best activities for a week? Tada! You've found your vacation.

Bear spray is never a bad addition for a woman’s purse in my opinion. I hear it works great on overzealous men too.

if you happen to be passing by Bear Lake at the top of Utah on the way to Yellowstone and you have a swimsuit handy, 5/5 stars would recommend. ^.^ have fun! Be safe be careful.

Purse Bear spray will just make the bear mad. But is great on 2 legged animals!

Since mine stays in a carrier on the chest strap of my pack (beside the .44 Mag Holster)
I looked it up.
Bear spray typically contains between 7.9 and 10.2 ounces (225 to 290 grams) of active deterrent by weight. This volume is designed to deliver a continuous spray lasting about 7 to 10 seconds at a range of 25 to 44 feet.

If possible make sure you are up wind when you use it, or you spray yourself too. So it isn't aggressive and the wind is in your face, raise your Arms high to look bigger and back up, facing the bear.

Best employment is to spray a short burst if the bear is Just Standing and barking, if it is charging a bigger first burst, then unload.

Sadly, even a hard cast lead round even from a .44 Magnum is going to be pretty ineffective on a dedicated bear, so 6 rounds, 5 for the bear and save the last one for yourself.

DO not eat anything in your tent, even front country. 4 years ago we had a bike rider insist staying in her tent, in a small town that had a Grizz raiding chickens all week. Her 3 friend took offers from home owners to stay inside.
She munched on a few granola bars, and left the packaging in her tent, took an Ambien. The bear enjoyed her.
The sad part is that it was a sow, and because she could follow basic safety guidelines, the Sow and 2 Cubs had to be put down.

Best way to avoid issues is talk while even just day hiking.
When rounding a blind bend Make allot of noise.
If you see fresh signs of bear activity, scat, new digs, newly turned over rocks and logs, turn back.
Bear Beat Human like Rock Breaks scissors.

I am not helping you in anyway, if you are not banned no one has seen you in gen chat or knows your name, come on in join the fun as -Luka. But if you can prove I am a predator I'll prove you are banned. I was advised by staff you are banned, and several users in several chats have supported that. The mos common anwser I have received when asking about you is "I have no idea who that it, they must come in as a guest to cause trouble.

I'm not so you can't a predator never have been and never will be. You how ever, are sad shell of a person that thinks they have power, literally no one other than you along with your forum friends care about you. You derive please by causing conflict to make you feel important. A common tactic used by bullies, or people who were bullied. Seek the advice of a mental health professional before you get more depressed and hurt yourself.
