Even though August has passed I would like to not only remember those poor souls that were lost in the horrible 9/11 tragedy, but also remember another beautiful soul who’s sudden death not only hit the music industry hard but her family, her friends, and her fans. On August 25th, 2001 the music industry suffered a tragic loss of the beautifully talented singer everyone knows as Aaliyah aka the Princess of R&B. She passed away from a plane crash that also took the life of some passengers that were her friends. She had just got done making her music video for her well known song “Rock The Boat” which was filmed in the Bahamas 🇧🇸. She was known for many songs such as “Try Again, One In A Million, More Than A Woman, Back & Forth, and many others. She became famous in the mid-1990s with hit records from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and Steve “Static” Garrett. She’s also starred in the movies 🎥 “ The Queen Of The Damned and Romeo Must Die” with famous actor/martial artist Jet Li and actor Stuart Townsend.

Even though she’s gone her music and legacy still lives on within her family, friends, and fans. I was 2 years old when she passed away but knowing her at the age I am today shows her memory still lives on. Loved her music, it would’ve been nice to have seen her work in person. If she were here today, I know she would have been bigger than she was years ago. We will never forget her, I will tell my future kids about her. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 God bless you Aaliyah and thank you God for creating this beautiful soul that the world was able to see.
“God of the living and the dead, accept our prayers for those who have died in Christ and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. In your mercy grant them rest.”
