As you know, I spent lately on forum unhealthy amount of time (procrastination is a beach). I reported mod abuse often - and thought a lot about how to report effectively, (trust or not) without necessary drama (except few times, which was super hilarious, hehe, if they shut you down so many times, you wanna also have some fun ...). Anyway almost every thread I made in seriousness became a shitstorm of blaming me, or misleading a problem. Not even by users but also very often with moderators. Real report was like never truly addressed. Closure was about something else then original report. Or there was promissed action from admin (@DynamicDylan ) and it never happened.

I think that reporting system sucks. Everybody can comment under it, - it becomes drama area (nothing against a little drama, but REAL complaints system shouldn't look like that). I do not know how to achieve that, but it would be nice to have a form for that with necessary fields and even limit it with a number of words. It would be super nice to have it also transparent, but also to limit comments. And also see what actions has been taken, or if complaint was rejected or not - and reason for it.

If reports will looks like they do, moderators, admins, whoever - will have no problem to blur the problem, invite some trolls to attack OP with bs and afterwards close thread because it is out of topic. It happens alllll the time.

I will consider it as a serious question for a second. Why serious? Because it is fcking annoying. I give you example. I have mu lunch break and I wanna chat with people. Then I do some joke which isn't rasist or even insulting and suddenly you get kicked for 2 hours. It is like arrrggghhh, now I need to figure out what else to do in my lunch break. 😀
... also I can't stand few of those power tripping moderators. I'd like to slap them with banana peal. ... also as I said many times - feedback should be fucking important on any serious platform. We have people leaving and I get it. ... so a liiiiiittle seriousness should take a place. ... also

It's very true. The thread often gets closed on Dylan's request and Dylan never addresses the pm. All he does is backs his Mods. Singles chat has already lost its VIPs and regular users to other sites due to mods harrasments. I hope the @Chatmaster takes any action.

IA Internal Affairs. Like filing a report against a police officer. There is a nonpartial third party that investigates the matter and comes up with an appropriate solution.
Oh yes! I believe that this can help also admins and moderators. They were complaining about a lot of not necessary drama. This can limit it and satisfy also ********.

This is a chat site, not a company or business. Meaning there aren’t employees, offices, SOPs, etc. adding additional bureaucracy (like a form to fill out) not only won’t happen but wouldn’t solve the problem you are highlighting.

The examples you gave were getting kicked and also “power tripping” moderators. You said when you came to the forums to appeal your kick, that a lot of other people not involved jumped into your appeal thread and derailed it.

A simple solution to this would be to create a forum rule that only admins and moderators be allowed to deal with kick/ban appeals. This could be enforced by the forum staff.

As to your second issue, moderator complaints should be brought to their admins. If you feel the admins don’t address it properly, complaints about admins go to Chatmaster. That is how the system is set up, for better or worse.

Hmm. Maybe you are right. Also it is true that I can't imagine that developers will get to something like that anyway.

But it could still be "self governed".

Since when are Internal Affairs impartial. Though their job is to police the police, they are police officers and like to toe the thin blue line.
I would not call them a third party and they are not always impartial.

I have never ever reported anything to anyone. I keep cool and dignity in my battles against the virtual enemy.
Even when I was banned I never complained to anyone. I just visited other sites.
Again I kept my cool and dignity.😉

Just a reminded - it was moderators who complained about unnecessary drama, specifically on Singles chat room. All I do is to report misuse (and encourage others to do the same), for a simple reason - so bullies will be exposed.
From what they said - they don't want me to report moderators. They consider it as a mod abuse - which is complete horsesh!t. I got even banned for my last complaint on moderator, even when I backed it with screenshots.
