they have the internet in england. least they did when i left. did they lose it with brexit?
Guy from uk trying to tell an American who was literally at those protests (not riots) how it went down in his own country. Okay buddy. Back to faux news with you.i live in England.
unfortunately our land is influenced by batshit crazy American things.
"Someone throwing a brick through a Starbucks window or setting fire to a cop car because they are tired of corporations".
Yeah. --- so that is excusable then? do you really think that is OK?
it's not. piss off.
Both things are dumb as ****.
ALL violence isnt good.
and - YES - the covid and especially BLM violent riots. ... left and right. They were both awful.
angry people are a shitshow.
Angry rightys are bad, yes; and angry leftys are bad too.
It's very sad.
It's largely wrong. He wasn't any of that, certainly not speaking with flair and walking with grace. He wasn't a debater either he was an indoctrinator. A spreader of inflammatory propaganda that had no basis whatsover in truth. A truly unpleasant individual.I just wanted to share something that i worked on for Charlie
Not everyone in the UK is closeted in ignorance.I don't know why so many people in England are pretending they knew who he was.
Not everyone in the UK is closeted in ignorance.
So if we disagree with something he has said, the next step is to talk about it -- not shoot him. He welcomed debate and was willing to challenge people over their ideas, how ever far they may be from his own. Personally, I'm not one of his fans -- he's religious whereas I'm not. A lot of his talking points stem directly from a Christian's point of view and the Bible.Let's deep dive Chuckie Kirk as to statements he has made.
Gay people should be stoned to death, Taylor Swift should reject feminism and submit to her husband, MLK was an awful person, Most people are scared if they see a black pilot flying a plane, The guy who assaulted the Pelosi's should be bailed out, George Floyd had it coming the January 6 protestors did not, parents should prevent their daughters from taking birth control and girls who end up pregnant should carry the birth to term, People should not be allowed to retire, Women's natural place is under their husband's control, The 1964 Civil Right's Act was a huge mistake, M.L.K. was a horrible person. ....
Just a few quotes from his videos, I am sorry , TOC and others who teeter on the far right the man does not deserve to be a martyr.
His brand of rhetoric called for divide and hatred of those not like the pure white race.
No one is celebrating his murder. We are just tired of his type of hatred.
It's called keeping up with current affairs and world news. He's relevant as he's part of an increasing global trend that's affecting the UK as well. Still, you feel free to wander through your life not giving a crap about anything other than petty arguments here. Lol and you call me weird? 🤣You're the weird one pretending some bloke who shagged guns was relevant here.
So it is okay for those on the right to mock the misfortunes and say nasty things about those on the left?So if we disagree with something he has said, the next step is to talk about it -- not shoot him. However, I came here to give my condolences over a man who got killed over words, a man with a supportive, loving wife and two kids. He absolutely did not deserve such a senseless end. Always remember that violence only breeds violence. The more we condone this type of behavior (that it's okay to kill people over a difference of opinion), the more it becomes normalized in our society, leading to our nation's decline.
Murder is a crime and should never be celebrated.
Honestly, I'm not a part of this thread to debate about Trump, as you clearly so badly want to. Nothing against you but not everything is about him and left vs right. I'm literally only here to pay my respects to a man who shouldn't have been killed over his beliefs, regardless of what that may be.So it is okay for those on the right to mock the misfortunes and say nasty things about those on the left?
An example is this from Donald Trump while attending the republican convention in California in Sept of 2023 while running for reelection. "
“We’ll stand up to crazy Nancy Pelosi, who ruined San Francisco — how’s her husband doing, anybody know?” Trump said to a raucous crowd of California Republicans at a state party convention. “And she’s against building a wall at our border, even though she has a wall around her house — which obviously didn’t do a very good job.”
So to get your point that is perfectly fine but saying Charlie Kirk was a trouble maker is not?
Charlie Kirk was a tik tok influencer that spread propaganda. He does not deserve to be a martyr.
Once again I am against violence but really TOC, all of us left of center is getting tired of all the repression. We will not lie down to let Trump have his way with us.
You're really wasting your time with that boy lol. This thread like you said is about paying respect for Charlie Kirk and his family.Honestly, I'm not a part of this thread to debate about Trump, as you clearly so badly want to. Nothing against you but not everything is about him and left vs right. I'm literally only here to pay my respects to a man who shouldn't have been killed over his beliefs, regardless of what that may be.
If we condone political violence and laugh or celebrate the death of a whole life over opinions, then we're no better than savages. We will be the downfall of our own country through political division, especially if we let this situation escalate more and it becomes an all-out war between both parties.
Also, you seem to have a misunderstanding about me. I don't represent any one political party. I have and will always vote for the one who I feel is the best for the country. For example, I voted for Obama when he first ran for president. Did you know that? I think it's actually good for the country for the parties to switch every now and again, as it really should be more about the policies rather than the parties. That's just my opinion though, don't shoot me over it! 🙂
The relevance is that someone was murdered because of their political opinions (or so it seems) which, regardless of any personal beliefs and regardless of which country they're from or whether they're well-known, is reprehensible. You're the weird one pretending some bloke who guns was relevant here.
Weren’t you pretending to be another user looking for yourself? You're the weird one pretending some bloke who guns was relevant here.
My concern is that TOC this has escalated to the point we are nearing civil unrest and possibly much worse. What I don;t see is condemnation for both sides. So Trump thinks the attacks on the Pelosi's is justified because she is a nasty person, is an example of what needs to be toned down. Rhetoric is destroying this country. Charlie Kirk was not immune to that sort of rhetoric. If we condone political violence and laugh or celebrate the death of a whole life over opinions, then we're no better than savages. We will be the downfall of our own country through political division, especially if we let this situation escalate more and it becomes an all-out war between both parties.
If I’m dealing with somebody in customer service who’s a moronic Black woman, I wonder is she there because of her excellence, or is she there because of affirmative action?Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.
