I can barely believe a whole year has come and gone since I started moderating here at chat ave just the boys. My goal at the start was to give back, in gratitude, for all the years of entertainment chat ave has given me. I believe I have been successful in that and now it is time for me to step aside to allow others a chance at the experience.
At the start I was worried that I would be derided, looked down on like some kind of mall cop. It was a surprise and a treat to find so many in the room being so nice to me. It was challenging handling such a high traffic room. I had many a back ache from it, symptoms of carpal tunnel, blurred vision from starring so long. But it was all worth it. Its a magical experience, like being a conductor in a symphony, to see a room come to life, people begin to open up, because you are there to help set the tempo. I really learned a lot too. About people and about myself.
I am hanging up my moderator badge, but I am certainly not leaving the neighborhood. I'm sure our paths will cross again out there in the chatrooms before long. Until then, my warmest regards to you all.
