I think what will eventually happen is that Russia will take over enough of the Ukraine to be an occupying force, and that the remaining Ukraine military and civilians will become a gorilla fighting force that won't be extinguished, and the conflict will have a chance of ending in 2024 if a Republican wins the White House, and the Republican party unites the government enough, to provide more help to the Ukraine. If the Democrats win in 2024, and beyond, The Ukraine will remain an occupied country until such time, that a Republican majority is in control, or until Putin fucks up and and pushes into NATO territory forcing the US to enter. Putin, has isolated himself, he isn't going to back down and humiliate himself. An he doesn't care if things are not going smoothly at the moment.
